We purchased our custom building from Bison Steel in JANUARY 2021, with multiple delivery dates(over a 23 month span - nearly TWO years) being pushed back by Bison Steel , this caused ** to have to push back construction on our end several times. Delay upon delay upon delay from Bison Steel, our construction loan expired, causing ** to to have to reapply for a new construction loan AND get a new appraisal which took 2 months. When we finally got all of that squared away in February, our contractor reached out to get on their (Bison Steel) schedule for delivery only to be told that our building has been canceled. Well after further investigation it wasnt just canceled but they SOLD it to someone else. We paid nearly $12,000 for our deposit, we were promised a product, and we are left with nothing. We are in the hole WAY more than $12,000 because of Bison Steel. We locked in the steel price of Jan 2021 and now April 2023 Steel prices have significantly increased. They are crooks! I called and talked with the ****** ***********************, the same day our contractor got the news (Friday March 24th 2023) that they no longer had our building, he answered and he wouldnt give me the time of day to speak. He yelled and accused ME and was extremely defensive, and told me we are done talking about this until Monday. He told us to call him back on Monday March 27th to discuss on how we could move forward. We left a voicemail and a text message (and two emails) to discuss, and now, two weeks later, Friday April 7th, we still havent gotten a response from him in any form.

The ******** ordered building material from Bison Steel in 2021.
The building materials were delayed due to the Covid Pandemic (the steel industry experienced massive steel material shortages
      and delays).
We conveyed this to the customer, and they informed us they were not ready for the material due to site prep and permitting.

We informed the customer that the material would be delivered in 2022.
We produced the building in 2022.
When we notified the customer that the building was produced and ready to ship, they informed ** without notice that their loan had expired, and they were working things out with the contractor.
We repeatedly asked the customer to take the material and to store it locally.
We were told by the ******** that it was not just the loan, but that they had other issues that needed to be taken care of before they could take delivery.
We informed the customer that it would be expensive for ********************** to store the material until they were ready.
They responded that there was nothing they could do about it.
Bison was still honoring the original price of the building material to the customer even with ****************** prices rising over 70% since they originally ordered.
We informed the ******** that it was not financially viable to put the material in storage indefinitely without an end ship date from the customer.
********************** then received a call from *************************** in March asking Bison to ship the material.
When we informed ***************** that the material was liquidated, she denied everything that transpired.
We can order a new building for the customer at current prices and offer a substantial discount to help them.

I am rejecting this response because:

The response I just read (attached below) on BBB from Bison is incorrect and I have email correspondences to back it up. He (***********************) never gave us an option to store it for a fee, and never said if we couldnt accept it they would be selling it. The building was supposed to be delivered in September 2021 but that never happened. They kept backtracking saying it would be delivered in Spring, then again in June , then August, then the last time they reached out to schedule delivery was Dec 2022. Then nothing. They were also supposed to coordinate the installer to unload and assemble the building, which also never happened.  They are the ones who caused all of our delays; this is not on us.

Their lack of communication is unacceptable and was essentially caused this entire mess. We have emails and voicemails backing everything up. They promised us a product that we paid them a hefty deposit for, we relied on them for this product which we agreed to purchase, all to our detriment. This is fraud.

And when he stated that I denied everything, that is a complete lie.

Also we informed the Williss that it was not financially viable to put the material I storage indefinitely without and end ship date from the customer this was NEVER mentioned.

They also didn't repeated ask us to store it locally - NOT ONCE.

Also worth noting that he never answered when he told us to call him to further discuss and never contacted us again in any way. Completely ghosted **.

We have been trying to reach him since March with no response but May 17th he finally decides to respond to the BBB.

We want *********************** from Bison Steel to be fair and admit that they severely screwed us over, would love to know what prices they sold our building for (because if steel prices from when we purchased the building are up 70% they must have made a hefty profit from the product we purchased), and we want our deposit back, in full.

Thank you so much for your time! I am hopeful that we come to a speedy resolution. Thank you!

Bison stands behind the response we had previously sent.

We have members of our office and the factory that can and will confirm those statements.

We are willing to refund the deposit (less the cost of the plans and processing) to the customer.

We can reorder the building at current pricing at our cost.

      Thank You.
