In April 2023, I went to Eagan Smiles for a consultation about an inflamed area on my gum. I explained I had just had a scaling and rooting cleaning done about 3 weeks prior. The employees of Eagan Smiles, including the dentist ************, told me I needed a cleaning. Charged my card $271 and proceeded to do a scaling and rooting, NOT a regular cleaning. I was not numb, I was hyperventilating crying in the chair while my daughter sat there and watched. I was not aware the DENTIST was doing a S&R until he told me he just had to do the laser. I was then told he was going to do a saliva test on the house and was billed $200 to my insurance. After being at their office for over 2 hours, I left crying and in pain. I found a different dentist and told them what had happened, because I had an S&R done in March 2023, getting ANOTHER one without my consent, destroyed my dental plan on helping get my teeth and gums healthy again. Eagan Smiles has not one responded to any of my messages,calls or any form of communication regarding my payment being returned for their incredibly illegal service they did. Let alone the amount of trauma they not only gave me, but my 7 year old daughter as well who watched all of this happy.Business response

Pursuant to the **************** Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, no specifics regarding Ms. ***** may be provided to you at this time. However, if you will have Ms. ***** sign and return an appropriately executed HIPAA authorization, Eagan Smiles Dentistry and its affiliated practitioners would be happy to engage with you regarding this matter.

I am rejecting this response because:
I give the BBB full authorization to speak with Eagan Smiles about my records and my services in 2023. Stating they cant talk to you because of HIPAA isnt valid.Business response
