We paid $9974.33 to have a stone entry way installed. There are several chips in the stone blocks which are not evenly spaced, and the seems are uneven. Some are open and crooked. The blocks do not fit flush to the house. They had to cut a small block to fill in the space which looks like an attempt to correct a mistake. The surfaces of the stone blocks are not uniform, some are textured and some are smooth which does not look good. The grading was done improperly so there is a corner of the landing that is higher than the rest of the structure, appearing uneven.. The flat stones on the walkway are not graded properly so water pools and ice forms in the winter which makes walking dangerous. The height of the landing is 9 inches below the front door which, I believe is not up to code (7 inches). They moved a large boulder, setting it upside down haphazardly in another location on part of the irrigation system and an electric wire. There was no effort to prepare the ground so it would look good. I am going to have to hire another contractor to remove and rebuild the whole structure.
