I paid my bill without realizing it hadn't been run through my insurance. I have called 3 times in the past month and my insurance has yet to receive a claim.Business response

There is no question that this procedure should be covered by Medicaid. We are sorry the patient ended up paying this bill and we are initiating the process today for a full refund. If she doesn't receive a check in the next few weeks, she can reach out directly to [email protected] who will be able to provide an update.
Virtual Radiologic (vRad) filed the original claim to Medicaid on 8/12/21 and again on 11/13/21 using the information provided by the medical facility. Medicaid denied the claim stating they could not locate the member (patient). vRad then sent the claim directly to the patient which she paid on 9/30/21. On 11/13/21 we used the updated patient information from the payment to rebill Medicaid in another attempt to locate her in their system so a refund could be issued. As of this week we had not received payment on the rebill so we contacted Medicaid. They confirmed the patient is active and advised us to refile the claim a third time which we did today in addition to initiating the refund process.
