      Chief complaint is being sent a trip cancellation notice and invoice for a trip I never booked and notified of a $45 dollar deposit I never authorized It is worth noting VNCO was so profoundly negligent, and borderline fraudulent in their dealings for our last trip (May 22) that I would never patronize their business again - dangerous, un-seaworthy canoe during high and fast conditions; charged for extra nights that took over 2 notices to be corrected; ignoring me at the checkout line for over 30 minutes (probably closer to 45) while the terribly obnoxious wife of the owner proudly exclaimed that shes above working the register. A profoundly awful experience that forced us to start our first day late and exposed us to higher winds and bigger water during record-high flood conditions with 40 degree water. Profoundly irresponsible and negligent.

      As we attempted to address your complaints with you yesterday but received no response. The email you received in error was an instore credit email for another ***************************** who did book a trip this year and had to reschedule for a later time in the fall. There was never a charge to your card in any way. To address for your complaint regarding your trip a year ago. The owner's wife is a stay at home mom who does not in the store, so I can assure with 100% confidence that it was not her. Regarding what you described as an un-seaworthy canoe; all of our watercraft are inspected every spring by the local ********************* Every boat must pass inspection before it can be used. We also have factory trained staff who give every boat an in-house inspection before the start of every season. You entered at Lake One. You stated you had to paddle in high and fast conditions. There is no fast water any where from that entry point unless you travel many hours or even days into the wilderness. High water conditions, I completely agree; the water was high, the ice had only been off the lake for two days which also accounts for the cold water temperatures. You complained due to our service, you were delayed getting on the water, exposing you to high winds. Your reservation file shows you did not arrive to pick up your canoe or permit until late afternoon on the day you were to hit the water. Any experienced **** canoeist will tell you that to have the best chance of avoiding windy conditions, you need to be on the water in the early morning hours.  You also rented a We-No-Nah, MN 2, Kevlar canoe. This is a narrow canoe built with speed in mind. For those who are not experienced wilderness canoeists, a narrow boat in less than perfect conditions can feel unstable and unsafe. I do find it very difficult to believe you waited for 30 or more minutes, but I will ***** you the benefit of the doubt considering it was opening weekend of fishing season.
