Contract & Down Payment: Aug 21, 2021 (amount paid $5400) Final Payment: Sept 7, 2021 (amount paid $5400, this was the remaining balance) Total Amount Paid: $10,800.00 The business contract was for site prep, base filler (class 5), forming for concrete, concrete slab pour with rebar reinforcement, and 4 foot apron in front of slab. Work began on Aug 25, 2021 with grade prep and fill (class 5). The contractor asked for payment in full on Sept 7 to cover costs of the materials, payment was made in full to pour on the 10th. The main concrete slab was poured on Sept 10, 2021. At that time the contractor said he could not pour the apron that same day as originally planned because he was concerned it was too soon to pull the forms. He said he would pour the apron at a later date. On Sept 18 the contractor made plans to form the apron on Sept 24 and pour it on Sat, Sept 25. No work was done, he did not show. He said we was unable to do the work due to weather. He said he would push back 1 week and pour Oct 2. On Oct 1, there was no forming done for the pour. The contractor said he was unable to get concrete due to high demand. He said he would try for pouring on Oct 6 or Oct 7. No work was done. I called for an update and the contractor said the work would have to be pushed back to Monday, Oct 11th. The apron pour was supposed to happen on Oct 11th, a message that morning said he was waiting to see if he could get the 3 yards of concrete that afternoon. I sent him messages on Oct 12 and Oct 15. Later on the 15tth he responded that he was Covid positive and he was isolating. He said I was his last job for the year. He said he was still having trouble getting concrete and would hand mix if necessary. I sent messages on Oct 19 and Oct 20. On Oct 21 he said he just got out of the hospital. He said he was feeling better and would be there Oct 23 to form and would pour that next week. No show and no further contact from the business despite many attempts.
