We went as a family to get a dog that would fit our family. I was adamant we needed a boring old dog because we are not active and my children have bad anxiety. They sent us home with a Australian cattle dog that is completely the opposite of what we needed. I tried for months to find him a home then gabe up and called them and they wanted me to pay to bring him back after they lied and scammed us. They dont care if dog is good for the family they just care about money and i paid over 300 plus purchased stuff. Vary bad dishonest employ i dealt with. And very uncaring business. And to top it off they wanted money to take him back. All about the money.Business response

We are sorry to hear that the dog you adopted has not been a good fit for your family. While we do our best to help find a match, we know we cannot always predict how an animal will behave in a home. That is why Animal Humane Society offers a 60-day adjustment period within which you can evaluate the pets progress and your adoption decision. If, within those 60 days, you determine your recently adopted pet isnt a good fit or you find yourself unable to provide necessary medical care, you may return the animal and receive an AHS gift card that can be used toward the adoption of another animal, pet supplies, training classes, education programs, and ********** services. This policy is covered during the adoption process, in our adoption contract, and on our website.
If you wish to return your pet to us after the 60-day evaluation period has expired, our standard surrender policies apply. AHS is a nonprofit organization, and the fees we charge for adoption and surrender only partially offset the cost of providing care to the animals in our shelters.
Wed be happy to assist with scheduling an appointment for you to surrender your pet. To do so, please call our Pet Helpline at ************. Well be able to discuss the surrender process, and what timeline we may be able to provide at this time.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because my complaint is that the employees lied about the dog we were specific and they sent us home with a breed that was opposite from what we needed. O feel scammed lime they push animals not caring about if they are a fit with the family just so they can get more money. And of you ****** it says there it says there isn't a fee of you get the dog from there bit of you dont then there is. And that is from the Humane society. Once again im not bringing dog back there its what they did to pur family and the dog.liers, cheaters and scammers. They should be held liable for what they tell family's.
