When I brought my truck in, I asked them to call me with an estimate before any work was done. I did not receive any communication from them. They went ahead and did some work. When i pointed out that they had not contacted me prior to doing the work the owner said he would refund me *****. I feel that is inadequate. After i paid Turbo Diesel and Electric in Full and took my truck it began having the same issues. I brought the truck back to Turbo diesel & Electric and the owner looked at it and pulled the code. He said it was the part that they had just repaired and he will fix it under warranty. When i brought it there he said it was something else and it would be *******. I still have not received any type of refund.Business response

We did receive the truck to diagnose. My tech. scanned the truck for codes and as part of the diagnosis the DEF injector needed to be removed for the test. The customer's father stopped in to check on the truck and he was told we had scanned the truck and there would need to be further testing to confirm what was wrong and we hadn't had time to go any further. The father of the customer informed us his son needed the truck for an appointment at the body shop. My tech. told him if it was the part he suspected had failed, the part would be likely be around $300-$350. The father indicated his son needed the truck soon for the other appointment. After he had diagnosed it to a failed DEF injector. My tech. had tried to reach the owner twice and his voicemail was full. Considering the situation, he installed a new DEF injector. The customer was upset that we had repaired the truck. I offered to reinstall his old DEF injector and he would only be responsible for the time and materials it took to do the proper diagnostics. He didn't seem interested in that so i offered to take 10% off his invoice. He did return with the same message and Check Engine Light on a day or two later. I scanned the truck and there were two codes. One of the codes was similar to the one he had the first time, so i told him we would check into it and if it was a faulty injector or the wiring to the injector it would be warranty. The codes he currently has stored in the truck are not related to the replaced DEF injector or the wiring to it. We didn't charge for rechecking our work and we wrote an estimate for what it would take to repair the current problem.
