Facts: 17-year old daughter, Wynter, worked and saved money to purchase first car 6-12-21 went to Quality Motors, paid cash for her first vehicle ($8209.25) - This total included $500 for a 3 month engine warranty. WE DID NOT RECEIVE A CARFAX REPORT. 6-17-21 - took the car for a used car inspection at Brausen's (notes: oil change, steering wheel vibration, (repair light sockets, light harness, and tail light assembly). ***10-3-21 - while at a stop light the engine died. She took the key out, then back in and the car started. As she came to the next stop light, down a hill, the brakes stayed extended and could not be engaged. Her transmission shifted gears on their own - shifted to reverse, but her car continued a forward path. She had to swerve into a parking lot and slam on her brakes with extreme force -car stopped. I, Jamison, later came, applied force to the break to get car in neutral, moved to parking space. 10-4-21 - car towed to Buerkle Hyundai. 10-8-21 - Buerkle confirmed engine seized, needs replacement. working on a case to send to Hyundai. 10-12-21 - Hyundai asked about open recall in 2018 and whether we received information. We had not as the car was just purchased in June. Hyundai is declining any assistance for engine replacement because it was sold to us with an open campaign/recall. 10-14-21 - called Hyundai and they can't do anything because the claim was already denied. 10-22-21 - opened a claim with our insurance 11-9-21 - Went to Quality Motors, talked with Jose about the issues who said there's nothing he could do. WE RECEIVED A COPY OF CARFAX REPORT. On page 5 it lists the issue. On Hyundai site, typing in VIN also shows open campaign. 11-15-21 - Email to Jose with new info. - refused to help - says he provides CARFAX. - but he didn't at time of purchase. 11-17-21 - insurance denied claim - no coverage 11-19-21 - email Jose again - offers us $1000 to return car 12-10-21 - Buerkle says reman. engine is about 7k.Business response

Customer purchased the vehicle on 06/12/2021 AS-IS NO WARRANTY.
The Customer purchased a service contract for 3 months or 3000 miles ( whichever comes first ), we tried to work with but he never replied back to us. At this point there is nothing I can do.
