Breitenfeldt did a horrible job in assisting me find a Plan D provider that was best for me during the enrollment period last year. They did an inaccurate job in researching the Mutual of Omaha coverage which they recommended. They only looked at prescription prices and completely missed that the prescription prices were not reduced after I met the first deductible and I have paid at least a few thousand dollars when buying my prescriptions because there are more deductibles/costs to be met. I still have thousands more to pay before I hit the Catastrophic phase. I have never had this happen with a chosen Plan D provider. Breitenfeldt gave bad advice with poorly trained advisors and inadequate research. I have spoken to them about this without any resolution.Business response

Our customer servicing team has worked with this individual at length and have exhausted different options due to the personal choices of the member. Unfortunately, this individual is facing high cost of prescriptions due to the specific medications they are on. Our team has offered assistance on seeking formulary exceptions, tier exceptions, and other coupon savings methods that the individual has not been willing to collaborate on. We are always willing to continue working through as much as possible when someone has mutual interest and understanding.

I am rejecting this response because:
Breitenfeldt is treating me and describing me in a derogatory manner. They never gave me options and I told them about a mail pharmacy with low costs. The issue is they were not well informed advising me about the Mutual of Omaha plan. They only looked at prescriptions and their costs. Not when or hot how much Id have to spend to reach the stages and amounts for the plan. Whatever is decided I dont appreciate their condescending tone that I had exhausted all options which they didnt mention to me. I repeatedly called them after advising me on Mutual of Omaha. Take a bit of responsibility here.Business response

Breitenfeldt Group analyzes and advises prescription coverage based on how medications will be covered directly by plan benefits and formularies. Plan recommendations are offered based on all costs associated with using the insurance plan only. We are looking into the pharmacy/ discount program that was brought to our attention by the member, but at the time it was unfamiliar. Breitenfeldt Group being a health insurance brokerage focuses on insurance plans specifically. There are many medication discount programs advertised outside of health insurance and we continue to learn more about credible sources.
Breitenfeldt Group would be more than willing to continue reviewing options through the current prescription plan and will also be here to compare and review all options for the 2023 plan year.
