If I could give zero starts I would. Do not stay here. If you value the safety and well-being of yourself and your family stay somewhere else while in Mankato. This hotel is not safe. We left at 7pm and arrived back at 11:55pm. We left through the elevator and when we returned both elevators were out of order. The stairwell was littered with liquor bottles and crashed cans. My husband and I called the police after a security guard **** overheard our private conversation regarding the overall security and state of the hotel laughingly referring to it as rapey as we made our way to our room and he was insulted. *************** commented on our conversation after **** crept up behind us and frightened us. Making the situation even more rapey. Then **** continued to c*** off as he walked down the hallway. We reacted unkind and **** decided we should leave the hotel and kicked us out at midnight. We complied and **** followed us and attempted to come after us aggressively into the stairwell. This was met with obvious resistance because we felt **** was attacking us physically. While we were checking out at the front desk **** told us we could not leave because he was calling the police. We in-kind called the police and made a report while we left. **** is a total lunatic. The police let us leave without issue. We stay in hotels all the time and hold diamond elite status with IHG. We made a complaint with IHG. This happened on our second night of a two night stay and the first night was constant doors slamming with people yelling throughout the hallways and we could hear every car drive by all night long. Do not stay here. The police officers laughed when we made our report and told us our assessment of the hotel was not incorrect. This hotel should not be worthy of IHG.
