on 05/08/24 my friend was kicked out of up-down bar for smoking her vape inside the establishment. she was very compliant upon being asked to leave. after she stepped outside of the door, she hesitated for a moment to call me, not realizing i was already outside. the security guard who kicked her outside was by the door & told her she needed to step over the threshold. with her already being outside she was confused & asked for more elaboration. thats when the security guard (male) pushed my friend over the line in the concrete specifying that was the threshold he had specified. she became defensive & walked up to him telling him it was against his rights to push her (she works in this industry at a different establishment.) he then proceeds to push her again because he claimed she invaded his space. he then goes on to plead that he doesnt treat women like this but its her actions forcing him in this position. coworkers ************** returned back to work inside the establishment. My friend, M, was escorted to her friend ******* car, by ******.what my friend experienced tonight was completely unprofessional & unfortunate. she should have never had to experience any of this to begin with.im just hoping to raise awareness & make a change. even if its little impact by little impact.
