Capella is non responsive and does not follow through on ************************* invitations, Presidents list inductions, etc. I was a student that graduated at Capella in January of 2024 with a Business Degree and a 3.97 GPA. I have not been offered any Presidents list inductions or an invitation to the ************************* Delta Mu Delta, which I am undoubtedly eligible to join. Emails have been sent to numerous inboxes and faculty members asking for their help and no one will respond.Customer response

I am a student of Capella University. My employer sent a check in the amount of $485 to cover the remaining balance of my tuition expenses. Capella University is "holding" the check and not closing out my balance. The finance department has yet to contact me. I have spent several hours being put on hold to settle this matter. My place of employment sent a check on 5/26/21 for $2015 and Capella cashed that check, and the check for $485 was sent on 8/18/21; this has not been accredited to my account as of yet. This inability to to credit my account for the remaining balance has delayed Capella University from releasing my Master's Degree to me and my official transcripts, which I am a 4.0 GPA student. I have discussed this with several representatives from Capella, and they all have stated they would follow up with me, and I have not received any follow up communication.Business response

Capella University takesBetter Business Bureau complaints seriously and it is a priority to review andrespond in a timely manner. Capella is an institution of higher educationreceiving Title IV funding. As such, we are required under the FamilyEducational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), to protect the privacy of ourlearners. Without written permission from the learner, we are unable to releasenon-directory information to any third party including the Better BusinessBureau. A signed 3rd-party release form must be submitted by the complainantauthorizing the release of their information to the Better Business Bureaubefore a response can be provided. The attached 3rd party authorization formmust be completed in its entirety and signed manually for Capella to moveforward with a response. Once completed, the release form may be faxed alongwith the cover sheet directly to the Better Business Bureau at ************.Please contact ********** at the BBB with any additional questions about submittingthe 3rd-party release. Thank you for your attention to the matter.
