They will make up a price based on how much they think you will pay. They charged $575 for a job that involved replacing the valve under the sink (~$10 value) and the entire job took less than 45 minutes. When asked for a work breakdown request - they said they cannot provide one because they do not have one (i.e. they just make up a price). They justified the price because the person at the house provided a signature and did not understand what a reasonable cost would be. Scam - scam - scam - do not use them as they cannot be trusted to provide honest pricing for any service.

As stated to ***************, the actual homeowner(not ****************) onsite was never pressured and was offered many options. She chose an option and signed for work to be completed. The plumber felt she understood the scope of work to be done and she was satisfied with the work when he was finished. We have never heard from the homeowner with her dissatisfaction of the work and customer ********************** provided. Only the opinion of **************** in email exchanges. **************** also warned us he would report us to the BBB if we didnt refund to his chosen amount he felt the workmanship and parts were worth in his opinion. Interpret that as you will. We arent in the business to take advantage of our customers. We stand by our workmanship.Review from Chad J

The work that was done seems OK, but not sure if it was needed. I had a simple, none emergency, leaky faucet where the repair that Service Star Plumbing did costed more than double, maybe triple the average prices listed online for the work based on the following sites: https://homeguide.com and ***********************************************************************. Lesson learned. Get multiple quotes even though it is very simple job and do a little research on what repairs should cost. You will save money even paying the site visit to get multiple quotes from several plumbers, easier option to save money is to not use Service Star Plumbing.Review from CAROL J

Ben and Dan arrived at our home on time to give us a quote for our lower level plumbing needs. After doing the walk through and organizing the quote we were pleasantly surprised. The quote was fair and complete. Then, we were told they had the day available and after time to gather supplies and the job could begin the same day. By 6:30 the job was done. Wonderful. Both Dan and Ben were personable and great to work with. Thanks Ben and Dan.
