I am the Board President for Cardinal ****** of Faribault, an independent senior living COOP. Bayport installed siding and roofing at *************** starting on 8/31/20. Following the replacement of the siding, the east and south windows on the second floor of the building leak if there is driving rain coming from the *** East, or SE.Bayport performed approximately $400,0000 in work at ***************. We think it is reasonable to request that Bayport send their contractors to *************** to further investigate if the siding is installed correctly. Homesight, an independent inspection company, recommended further investigation and Bayport originally offered it. We expect them to keep their word and send out a crew to check it and fix it. Bayport has told us we have a 10 year warranty, so we expect them to honor it.

After review of the complaint filed, we have been in communication with Cardinal ****** of Faribault. We completely understand our client's concerns, and I can assure you that we are committed to honoring our workmanship warranty.

Our ********************* scheduled HomeSight,an independent third-party, to perform a thorough inspection in mid-April, and the inspection report that followed recommended further investigation to confirm that the siding had been installed correctly - per building code and manufacturer specifications.

This year has been busier than usual and while we have been working hard to fulfill warranty inspections as quickly as possible within a time frame that is acceptable to our clients, unfortunately we were not able to do so in this case.

We were however, able to schedule Ochi, our ************************ ******* (responsible for ensuring that all exterior siding replacement systems are installed in compliance with manufacturer specifications and building code requirements) to complete the requested on-site inspection within 10-days from receipt of the correspondence containing our client's desired resolution.

We have appreciated the open dialogue to get remaining issues resolved and will make sure all issues are resolved to our client's satisfaction.

Thank you for using BBB to facilitate resolution.

The roof of my house was replaced by Bayport in the fall of 2023, due to storm damage from a previous year. On October 25, 2023 I identified a leak in my basement from recent rainfall and I traced it to a wall running from the roof directly to the basement, I called the Bayport contractor to explain the issue who promptly visited my home and ran an Infared camera, he identified the leak to be come from the corner of the roof from a missing corner flashing not inserted at the date of the new roof installation. On October 26,2023 the contractor who replaced the roof visited the home to install the missing flashing. The water leak caused damage to the sheet rock, trim and flooring leading it mold. I was provided the phone number of a manger by the name of **** from Bayport for them to provide me a solution for the rest of the damage inside of my home. Her solution was to reimburse me the rug ruined by water damage and has not responded to any other messaging besides being concerned about the second half of the payment from insurance for the replacement of the roof from the fall. In early December a contractor visited our home and evaluated the internal damage who asked if I had the materials to make the repairs in which I replied no to, he left my home and never returned. After multiple attempts to receive an answer after this interaction on when the repairs for the internal damage would occur via text and phone calls with no answer or response on 12/26/23, I received a text message from **** accusing me of not letting contractors into my home to estimate the damage. This is an untrue statement as no other contractor has visited my home besides the interaction in early December. My text message reply to **** was requesting the date and time the contractor visited my home to be able to look at the exterior camera footage and verify. I would like the repairs to be made as it has posed as a health issue with the damage molding to myself and young children.

After review, we have been in continuous communication with our client. As stated in the complaint, ************** was able to successfully identify and repair the entry point of the leak. However, we acknowledge that the interior repairs were delayed after multiple scheduling conflicts between our client and the interior service technician. After consulting with our client, ******************, we have come to an agreement and issued a concession that allows our client to complete the interior repairs on his schedule.

We appreciate the open dialogue with our client and have confirmed that all concerns are resolved to the customer's satisfaction. Thank you for using the BBB to facilitate resolution.

I hired bayport construction to reside my home. Biggest mistake I have ever made. I unfortunately payed them in full before everything was taken care of. This was almost a year ago to this date. I have siding falling off of my house water getting in and rotting my home. Windows werent caulked. Siding is way to tight so it is buckling and bowing. I have been trying to get them to fix it for almost 1 year and they keep lying to countless times. They are trying to scam me. I have pictures of damage and lots of texts to prove all that company does is lie and try to scam people. I hope I can get this resolved. And hopefully stop them from doing this to other people. Not to mention the crew they sent out was doing electrical work on my house NOT LICENSED and almost Burnt my house down. They cut the wifi cable aswell. And pinched electrical wires going to my lights. I am at a loss for what to do

I signed a contract for siding service on 6-15-21 with Bayport Roofing and Siding. Bayport was reroofing our house under an insurance claim (contact signed 5-1-21) and we chose to have them reside our house with an out-of-pocket payment. I have had many problems with them through the process of both roofing and siding, I am not sure if my insurance company has to help with the roofing claim or if you guys can. The roof is still not done and the sub-contractor who did the work refuses to fix anything and did some "screw you" (Bayport's term) work/things to my house out of anger. The siding job is not done to my satisfaction and the people at Bayport have been rude all along as well as promising to come out and finish the work...with no one ever showing up or calling. I recently received the final bill from Bayport but have a difficult time paying it as the work is not done, in my opinion. After 5 months of arguing with Bayport, the owner of the company finally stepped in and was trying to finish the work himself. He stopped coming out and never finished, never called, and stopped showing up when he said he was coming. The siding job is very poor, the workmanship is horrible and the caulking is horrendous. The residing has not added value to my property at all. A few examples: they caulked over a weep hole in one window, the caulking around one window has holes/gaps, the caulking looks like a playdoh patch rather than a line of caulk, some siding pieces are crooked, most siding pieces are inconsistent placement (corners and edges), the lapping was not done consistently (which was actually written into my contract). When I was working with the owner I verbally conceded to not have them fix some of these things because I felt bad for the guy, now that he has left the job incomplete (and never finished what he said he would do), I need them to finish the work before I pay them. There were also inconsistencies with the billing the sent to my insurance company.

Bayport completely understands the concerns of our client and is committed to correcting any outstanding work orders should they exist. The city of Lakeville building official approved and passed the roofing permit on 06/05/21 and the siding permit on 11/05/21. We have appreciated the open dialogue to get remaining issues resolved and will make sure all issues are resolved to customer's satisfaction.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 16337917, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Someone from Bayport came out to my house to look at the problems.  They said that due to the cold, they are unable to fix anything until spring.  They said they will be out in the spring to fix everything, but...they have been saying that for the past 4 months and they never have.  So I will wait until spring for them to fix the work.  I do not consider this case closed!  As they have been promising to do the work and then never showing up to do it for for a very long time.  I will respond again in the spring to report if the work is done or not, otherwise we will have to escalate the claim.  Thank you.
