We have a flat roofed house with a roof covering several levels. We've used Garlock-French to make all of the roof replacements that became necessary during the years after we moved here in 1986. When I contract with this company I have full confidence the job will be done to the highest standards with every detail (like metal trim and scuppers, insulation board under the EPDM tapered for drainage) done precisely right. Their crews are hard working and the work site is clean when they're finished. Crew supervisors are always around to answer questions and insure that they stay on the agreed schedule. They aren't a "low price" roofer, but we've learned you get what you pay for. We've always been pleased with the finished work.

We have used Garlock-French for many years. We have a tile roof, and they annually perform an inspection and replace any slipping, missing or broken tiles. They have done other roof repairs on our 93 year old building as they are needed, and their responsiveness to our needs and the quality of their workmanship has been uniformly excellent.

Garlock-French Roofing checks our slate roof and copper gutters every year (over 20 years) for any damaged slate or gutter issues and makes any needed repairs. They are fast, courteous, and do excellent work. I don't know what we'd do without them to care for our slate roof.

I decided to contract with Garlock-French to replace the shingles on my brand new home in Lake Elmo that sustained light hail damage within a month after I moved in. Due to their extreme negligence, inexperience, and lack of care, my home sustained water damage in all four walls and ceiling on the first and second floor while they worked all day in the rain pulling off the entire top roof. They did not follow industry standards which is to work in sections and tarp off an open area if rain comes. I had water streaming through light fixtures and down walls, to which the foreman told me I just needed to let it dry out and they would come back later to touch up the paint. Needless to say, I called a water mitigation company to come out and respond to the situation. Now I have holes in my walls, trim removed, wet clothes in my closet, wet carpet, and industrial dehumidifiers and fans running everywhere that are tripping my circuit breaker. It’ll get better but it’s going to take a lot of work, time, and aggravation. Think twice before you hire Garlock-French!!!

*****,We are extremely disappointed in the decision that was made to tear-off your roof on a potential rainy day without being prepared for potential rain by one of our sub-contract crews that we have been working with for many years and that has done many successful jobs. We are very sorry for the damage that was caused by the mistake. As soon as we were made aware of the situation, we checked with a remediation contractor to see if they were available to come out to your house and begin the drying process the same afternoon and passed that information along to you to contact or we were willing to set that up. As we have discussed we will stand behind you to fix the damage to your home. We are committed to making this extremely unfortunate situation correct as quickly as possible knowing that every day extends the frustration. Again, I am sorry that you must experience *************************** like this.

We needed architectural gutters put on our 1905 Victorian. They did a wonderful job. The crew was great, and respectful, and the communication was great as well. Highly recommend!
