On 2/16/24 @ 4:30pm I visited Tires for Less to have 2 tires swapped out. I purchased the tires from AABCO and just needed them mounted on my car. ******** told me to give her my keys and to have a seat. She then said they would call me when its ready. About 45 minutes later an employee (*****) came to the waiting area and asked me how to start the car. I told him you just have to twist the ignition. He asked me to show him how. I went outside with him and he handed me my keys back and the *** was broken open and everything inside was missing. I asked him what happened to the inside of the *** as the car wouldn't start without it. He said he didn't know what happened to it. I said it wasn't like this when I gave it to you. He said to ask ********. When we went back and asked her, she said it wasn't like that when you gave it to me. I said- I know. I waited for them to find the inside of the *** to no avail. Finally, at 6:46pm I was told they could not find it. ***** apologized and told me that they would order a replacement and call me when it came in. I called 2/26/24 @ 12:30pm to follow up and was told the part was not ordered and that they would not be replacing it. They informed me that they found the inside to the *** only it has been damaged beyond repair. They still have the *** and are refusing to repair the property they damaged. I brought my car in to have my tires replaced, and they damaged my key *** beyond repair. I was told on 2/16 they would replace it, as they acknowledged it was their fault for it being broken. Now, on 2/26 I am being told they aren't replacing what they destroyed. It is completely unacceptable that the employees from this business are not taking responsibility for the mistake they made. It's one thing to make a mistake ( we're all human- they happen) but to lie about it and go back on what you told the customer is outrageous! I want my property replaced- I was promised it would be. Now they think they can just ignore the problem.Initial Complaint

I had a tire installed that was explicitly conveyed as being 70 - 80% new quality as measured by tire tread depth. The tire they installed was less that 30% and not street legal after I requested tread measurement by the manager and staff. Management and staff agreed that it was not a sellable quality product, but insisted that I have another tire installed by them. I was not comfortable doing business with them after the initial experience and simply asked for a refund. They refused, and insisted again that I have another questionable tire installed and waste my time driving back and forth to their shop to do so. The bad tire was replaced immediately via a reputable shop since it was unsafe, I just want my money back - and compensation for the time I spent waiting for a bad product and service.Business response

To whom it may concern,
First and foremost we would like to apologize for the negative experience to ******************. Unfortunately these kind of things happen in the used tire business. Thats why we have a 30 day warranty. We simply ask that ****************** returns the tire for a full refund. According to the sales rep that was assisting him he is unable or unwilling to return the tire. Due to
our warranty policy the part or tire had to be brought back for a return to be possible. Our vendor issues us a refund once we send back the tire in question. Please return the tire at your earliest convenience for a full refund no questions asked. He was also advises he could drive to one of our locations to help him in with is matter. he claimed he would and never returned.
