On October 27, 2021, I was informed by the Vacation Quarters (based in *********) that they had received a rental offer for my time-sharing at the Wyndham Resort in Multiple locations/in ****** City. The request consisted of ****** points, three rolling weeks (red season), and the lease must be completed by December 31, 2022. They emailed the Rental Guarantee Agreement on January 12, 2022, which was signed and sent back on the same date. ********************** (based in ******, **) has been appointed as the escrow company responsible for overseeing the successful lease of the property. The original leasing offer for the timeshare was $16,569.00 with a closing of $2,153.97, which I paid out of pocket on January 21, 2022. No other payment or charges appeared in the original contract. However, between January 27, 2022, and November 3, 2022, I was emailed several deposit instructions from ******** Funding requesting additional funds for various expenses totaling $68,559.78. The total amounts to $70,713.75, including the January closing cost of $2,153.97. No money has been returned or dispersed, and the case remains open. My last conversation with either of these companies involved a request for additional funds (approximately $5,300) or a cancellation fee of $4,000. ******** Funding threatened me with applying a cancellation fee during the whole process. I discovered last month that a cease-and-desist order was issued on April 27, 2022, against Vacation Quarters by the ********* ********** of ******** for engaging in fraud and misrepresentation in connection with brokering timeshare and real estate. I am seeking total compensation of $70,713.75 plus compensation for pain and suffering. I filed a similar complaint against ******** **************
