Consumers Beware; An active and healthy eight year old English bulldog named Bella Boo (per post full necropsy) went into the Blue Cross Animal clinic in mid December in **** for a routine teeth cleaning and never came back out alive. Under the care of a ************************, I fully believe she received sloppy, inattentive care at the best, and most probably was essentially prematurely euthanized due to lack of proper knowledge of Brachycephalic breeds with anesthesia, and a lack of proper monitoring and pre-op care. I was ultimately told several different, widely divergent versions of what actually happened that morning, making the situation all the more suspicious and obvious that something clearly went wrong that theyre undoubtedly covering up for. -Healthy dogs just dont drop dead for no reason. (she was 8, her mother lived to 13 and her bloodlines are still going strong at 11) Thatll be up to a review-board to determine; who knows if theyll ever get to the bottom of it either.That she died fighting for her life -scared and surrounded by strangers in her final hour is both heartbreaking and pathetic. Shame on them for their lack of care, inadequate attention to an already stressed out dog, and overall lack of anthethstetic knowledge, - an ultimate betrayal of trust and professional competency by them with a beloved family member, and shame on me for ever going there. A chaotic, screwed up clinic that didnt even fulfill their basic pre-op promise that I was assured of on the front end- that she would be carefully treated with a thorough preop including proper bloodwork, and made very calm before anything starts -NONE of this was done or happened. My sweet Bella is sorely missed, without even the option of saying a proper goodbye, as she was unnecessarily taken too early. Ill take this with me the rest of
