      Spring of 2023 I purchased a 2012 ***** Malibu with about 122 thousand miles on it from the ******* Cars and Credit (*****). List price was $18000 (***** Bluebook value is around $5,000) my debit with them is about $21000. Check engine light came on the day after the car was purchased, which can be normal for an older car. In September of 2023 in starting shifting hard, and driving rough. I called ***** and was told to take it into *********************** in **********, **. Was told it needed an oil change, which they did at that time. The car continued to shift hard. We checked to make sure there was transmission fluid in it, which there was. January the shifting got even harder and shaking at any anything over 60 mph. My boyfriend and I took it to ********************* in **********, ** to have them look at it, as the last time I took it to a ***** **** I was told it only needed an oil change. ******** had it for about week. They stated that with what the car is doing it was most like broken wave plate. My dad tried calling ***** on Wed 2/7, however they were closed, so he called again on Thursday 2/8, and was told to call Pomps Tire Service in ******* as they were the other shop they used. I called and got an appointment for today Monday 2/12. I asked them to also look at the breaks as they seemed really soft. I was called are saying it has a huge oil leak and a sway bar (neither of which were found or mentioned when ***************** looked at it). ***** called me after Pomp's called them, and the only way they will look into the transmission is if I pay for them to do so, if there is something wrong than my warranty would cover it or I can have the other ******** and it and pay than I would have to pay the deductible. I'm paying over $500 a month for a car that isn't worth ********************************************************************************************* I can't hardly afford food cause I have to pay for this car that I'm terrified to drive

      The warranty was automatically included in the end purchase price it's was for 24 months or 24 thousand miles which ever came first.

      We are currently working witht he customer to resolve the issue's with the vehicle. The vehicle has been to three different shops, two recommended by us, as we have used those shops for years and are comfortable with them. One shop was choosen by the customer as her uncle works there. Our two shops have been an able to dupilcate any transmission issue. In talking with the uncle at the other shop, they had the vehicle for a week or so and several different techs drove the vehicle without finding an issue with the transmission that required fixing. The customer has driven the vehicle ****** miles since purchase. So she doesn't appear too scared to drive it. We are addressing a couple of small issues found at our shops, and getting together with the customer regarding those. As of right now communication is good between customer the us, we should have this handled.
