On April 23, 2024, the business entered into a Consent Order with the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). The Consent Order settles allegations that the business violated Minn. Stat. 326B.082, subd. 11 (b)(1)(9) and 326B.84 (15) (2022). Under terms of the Order, the business agreed to revocation of their residential building contractor license and the qualified builders license for Joseph. W. Nelson and to cease and desist from acting as or claiming to be a residential building contractor, remodeler or residential roofer in Minnesota and to fully cooperate with customers attempts to seek compensation from the Contractor Recovery Fund. The monetary penalty of $10,000.00 will be fully stayed on the condition that they fully comply with the terms of the Order and have no future violations of any laws, rules or orders under DLI authority. The Consent Order was for settlement purposes only and should not be considered as an admission of guilt or finding of violation of the law. For more details go to the link below.
