Great Andersen series 400 windows! Everything else about the project was horrible. While Doug's salesmanship is good, his communication skills were horrific. We had 13 windows replaced to the tune of almost $34k. Doug will sell you on the idea that all will be lovely when he's done and look better than before. Nothing could be further from the truth. Every window opening they touched had to be reworked in some fashion. Rather than making the window trim a little larger than original, they made all of it smaller, so around every opening we had to repair their damage, 1/2" unfinished wall with up to 1.5" holes. There are 1/8" gaps between the trim and the walls. The trim isn't aligned, also having 1/8" gaps and left with cracked pieces. Our trim is rather ornate and most of it is an off white color. They did a good job of copying the design. However, they painted every window the same stark Andersen White and had to come back and caulk and repaint a couple of times which didn't turn out well either. When removing the windows the workers tore a piece of wallpaper that was at least a foot away from the opening but didn't bother to say anything. Doug personally measured for the windows, measured wrong and then made up a change order and charged an extra $500+ to fix his mistake. Of course, it was his change order, not ours, and it was his way of covering up his error. When his dismantlers/installers threw out our old windows, they also threw away critical pieces to our alarm system. All the windows are the same dark color but there are two different colored latches - some are dark, which match, the others much lighter, which don't match. Probably Andersen's mistake but it should have been corrected by Superior on install. Fear not, after all the problems occur, Doug will then tell you what's covered, but mostly not covered, in the contract. Sorry this is so long but I'm trying to prepare anyone for problems before they make the mistake of doing business with Superior.

Hi ****, Sorry to hear you felt this was your experience with us for your replacement project. We do everything we can to make sure all of customers questions and concerns are taken care from the first visit to the finishing touches. But, I do feel I needed to respond this review as it is not very accurate from our view. First, most everything that you stated above are all specified in the contract that we both read together before signing. Regarding your trim not covering the old paint lines, it clearly states in the contract that we do not guarantee to cover old paint lines. This can vary from using one manufacture to another on sizing and how the windows are made. Also, the comment about us painting the trim to match the ******** pre-factory white. This was also stated in contract and I showed you a sample of that color up to your existing trim at the time we signed a contract, and you agreed to it. After completed you felt it was not a close match, so we offered to repaint everything at the paint selection of your choice at no additional cost to you. To make sure you were happy with the final product. Per our contract we could have easily charge you an extra change order fee for that, but we did not. Regarding the statement about miss measuring the windows is not true. The new windows were made to within an 1/8" to your existing windows. When we pulled the first set of windows it was discovered your old vinyl windows rough openings were extremely tight to your windows, that did not leave us any room for adjustments or installing our windows properly, so we had to make some minor adjustments to correct that. Again, in the contract it states a change order amount will be given for any unforeseen items. Clearly without pulling a window their would not be a way for us to know your existing openings were not framed properly. That is why we have that line item statement in the contract. On lack of communication by myself. This could not be father from the truth. What's nice about our software is all of our emails, texts, calls are all link to each job. So I can easily go on there and see all of the emails, texts or calls to you that we never got any response to, or it took several time for you to even respond. Your wife even apologizes to us on the last day we were there for your lack of communication and response when I asked her what is the best line of communication for you, as so many times we got no response. Finally regarding your comment about us throwing out critical parts to your alarm system, again on our contract it asked if their are any alarm systems in use or we need to be aware of? You check NO. Not sure how that would then be blamed on us for that. Some of the others comments you have made I really don't feel they are worth responding too, as they are simply not true. Your wife thank ******* at the end for coming back and repainting all the trim and was very happy with the final product. I am sorry that you feel this was your experience with us!

Doug totally mislead me into ordering a specialty window from him, After speaking with Anderson Windows Corporate office directly, I learned he is not one of their accredited dealers. He has jerked me around from the beginning and I never got a window. Beware of the hype on his website and his "promises". He won't return calls and does not respond to emails. His sales /estimate and order software system is a mess. I would not recommend this business.

Hi ****, I am sorry you feel you had this type of experience with us, but I would disagree with much of these claims. First, I never said we are an ******** dealer. We are an ******** Certified Contractor and Certified ******** Service Provider. ******** dealers do not do installations, they only sell windows and doors. Sorry if you misunderstood this on what being a Certified Contractor means. Second, regarding us not responding to you emails or calls is false. We signed a contract on June 6th 2022, at that time I explained to you due to all the supply chain delays we cannot give you a estimated installation date until we receive ship date from ******** on the new window. You then called on 7/5/22 asking for a hard copy of the contract as our systems emails you everything. That was mailed out to you the follow week since that was a holiday week and we had several on vacation that week. You then called 7/14/22 informing us you had not received the copy yet, at that time ****** confirmed with you it had been mailed out and also informed you I was out of town 7/14/22 and would be back in the office Monday 7/19/22 and I would follow up with you on Monday. You at that time told ****** you need to have this window installed before October 1st because your plans changed and will not be around after that date. You also stated if we could not meet that date, you will have to cancel the order. At time of signing contract you never informed me of that October date, and I told you at that time it would be a fall project as its likely we would not receive the window until late September at the earliest. Sunday night 7/18/22 you sent me an email that you may have to cancel order because I did not follow up with you yet, but ****** told you I would follow up when I got back on Monday 7/19/22. I then responded to your email Sunday night when I got back into service area to let you know we have not gotten a delivery date yet on the window, and I would follow up on Monday when I knew more after talking with my dealer rep. I did call you then on that Monday 7/19/22 when I got an update, at that time you choose to cancel the order. I had to confirm we could still cancel it before approving it since we were past the 3 day right to cancel. We got the order approved to be cancelled and gave you full credit on your deposit via your credit card deposit. So, I am not sure what more we could have done to keep you informed. You knew from the beginning due to supply chain order delays we would not receive the window until fall. In no way did I lead you to believe you would have received the window any sooner. In our view these claims by **** are totally false. Yes we are dealing with supply chain issues as is every other company currently, but the claims of us not responding and us jerking her around and never received the window are completely false. She was well informed of the timeline and when she would be contacted through the process. ****

I have received a defensive email in response to my review, which I stand by. I was promised a new window to be installed sometime in August, no later than September. By talking to ******** directly, I learned the window had not even been made, yet. I would not recommend this business, whatever name they go by, or the promises they make. Their software system is cumbersome and faulty and never provided any updates. I never received the hard copy contract I asked for and emails and calls were not returned in any timely manner, if at all. Dealing with this business was like pulling teeth and the entire time, I had a sense that I had been scammed. They may see themselves as doing a good job, however, it is not my perception that they have done well. Far from it. I would not recommend this business based on the experience I had with them. It has been a complete waste of my time and energy and I am looking at a long winter, with a bad, leaky window still in place.

      07/27/2022

HI ****, again sorry for you feeling this was your experience. But, again much of what you said is false. We never said we would have your window in sometime in August. You had a speciality window that I knew would have extended lead time, that is why I could not give you a date until I received the date from ********. You are correct you window was not made yet, as they just like most other manufactures have supply and labor issues that are causing much longer lead times to get products ordered, built and shipped. There is nothing as the installation company we can do about that. Its the current times we are in. We did mail you a hard copy of contract after you requested it. And, I am sorry you feel our software system is difficult. We have found most customer love our new system as its has added features to keep customers well informed. In my 23 years of business I have never had this type of response from a customer. I hope you find the contractor you are looking for to complete your replacement project. I am glad we were able to still cancel the order and get you your full deposit back. Good luck with the project! Sincerely, ****
