On March 16, 2022, the business entered into a Consent Order with the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). The Consent Order settles allegations that the business failed to obtain required building permits prior to beginning work and failed to request inspections; reasonably supervise employees, subcontractors or salespersons; performed negligently or in breach of contract causing injury or harm; performed services of an electrical and plumbing contractor without required licenses, insurance and bonding and demonstrated they were untrustworthy, financially  irresponsible or otherwise incompetent. Under terms of the Consent Order, the business agreed to suspension of their residential building contractor's license until they are able to submit proof that all judgements have been vacated, satisfied, appealed or payment plans have been agreed to by all parties and the business is in compliance with the plans. In addition, the business shall request permits prior to beginning work and ensure required inspections are completed; hire licensed electrical  and plumbing contractors  for electrical and plumbing projects; fully comply with all requests for information from DLI. Also, the business shall notify DLI within 15 days if they have any legal action taken against them. The business is required to pay $7,000.00 of a $20,000.00 penalty, with the balance due if the business is found to be not in compliance with the terms of the Order. On January 10, 2023, the business entered into a Consent Order with the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). The Consent Order settles allegations that the business violated Minn. Stat. §§ 326B.082, subd. 11 (b)(1)(5)(8)(9); 326B.33; 326B.36; and 326B.84 (2)(4)(5)(15) (2020). Under terms of the Consent Order, the business agreed to revocation of the business's residential building contractor license and revocation of the qualifying builder registration for Deonte Hill.  The business also agreed to cease and desist from acting as a residential building contractor, remodeler or roofer in Minnesota and to fully cooperate with customer's attempts to be compensated from the Contractor Recovery Fund. The stayed monetary penalty of $13,000.00 from the March 2022 Consent Order will remain stayed and a $25,000.00 penalty shall also be stayed contingent on the business's full compliance with the terms of this Consent Order and compliance with laws, rules and orders of DLI.  The Consent Order was for settlement purposes only and should not be considered as an admission of guilt or finding of violation of the law.
