I contacted ***** to book a 3 person fish shack that cost 160 (+20 per day for liquid propane) per night for the last weekend of January (Friday-Sunday). So it would cost us 360 total for that shack. My friends and I showed up on that Friday and ***** brought us to a shack we had not booked; in fact it was only a 2 person shack and it's not even listed on his website. I told ***** that the shack wasn't the one I had asked for when I spoke with him to book it initially. He looked at an envelope he had names and shack numbers written on to double check we were where we were supposed to be (according to him). He asked me if I received a confirmation email to show him which shack we booked, but nearly all of the communication we had was on the phone. Not once did he ever mention he would send us a confirmation email or anything to verify we had booked the shack we wanted. He told me "I don't have any other shacks available, I don't know what to tell you." We decided to at least go in and check out the cabin and see what we were working with. The shack had two bunks and a storage shelf designed to support 300 lbs (according to *****). The storage shelf had not even two feet of clearance between it and the ceiling. Now at this point we didn't know what the cost would be for it, but ***** told us it would be 100 (plus the extra 20) per night. We each gave him 120 without even thinking, and at the time I was too frustrated with how the beginning of our vacation was unfolding to realize that we gave him too much (120 to be exact) for it. He didn't say anything about it either. The stay in the shack was pretty miserable considering the space was extremely limited, especially when we had to take turns sleeping on the storage rack. I'm not going to do business with ***** again, but at the point I am seeking the extra amount we gave to him in error to put this whole ordeal behind us.
