Hired Randys roofing to completed a reroof job on my home, to metal roof, in Sept’21.He promised us to get done by the end of the year is why we went with him. Upon paying $7580 for a deposit ($7140 due when job was done)we didn’t hear anything from anyone for almost a month. After assuming we were stiffed, a refund was requested. Also got ahold of the son who owns The company miller’s roofing and siding, Austin, and the receptionist Kim B**** who said Randy didn’t work at miller’s roofing. Responses and materials came flowing very quick after. We were promised we would get done by thanksgiving (two months after hiring). No permit was ever applied for or pulled by this licensed with the state contractor. A crew of 4-5 men came out and almost completed the job in about three days. Which fell on the thanksgiving holiday. The job was not completed by thanksgiving and there was a 6ft spot for the roof ridge that needed to be added and a 1-2ft spot where a residential rake should have been added and was bare exposing wood. We were told “someone fell off the roof with those pieces” which our 360° surveillance didn’t show on camera. We waited all the way into December for the ridge piece for a crew to come out on 12/14 (a day before a freak winter rain) to finish the ridge. They finished the roof and put the roof ridge on the residential rake portion (as he didn’t order the rake part needed for that side). Rain came on Wednesday and the ceiling started turning yellow/b**** and the furnace shut off. Water was flowing into the house from the vent flashing that didn’t get sealed around two of the furnace vents and one over the kitchen. Daylight could be seen from inside the attic. Contacted Randy and he didn’t answer. After getting ahold of Austin again at the main office in canyon mn and not hearing back from either one of them come the Monday work week (12/20/2021) we fired Randy and miller’s roofing and siding. The check was made payable to miller’s roofing and siding.
