    Tile by Design does not disclose either in writing, verbally, or on their website if specific tile is special order/non-refundable. When I placed the order for tile, I specifically asked if the 10% overage in square footage was returnable. A Tile by Design employee told me that it was in fact returnable. Additionally, none of the paperwork I received, including the receipt, said that the tile was special order/non-refundable. The order was placed over the phone on 11/8/2021 and the attached email was received as a receipt of the $450 deposit. I received the tile and grout on 12/10/21 and I paid the remaining balance of $486.40. After receiving the tile, I discovered that it was full of scratches, divots, pin holes, air bubbles, and chipped edges. When attempting to return the tile, they would not accept. They told me the only way I could return the tile was if I paid for a shipping and restocking fee, which resulted in 40% of the overall purchase. I even offered to share the return costs by suggesting 20% each and they refused. They offered to replace the tile that was scratched but did not state anything about the tile that has divots, air bubbles, or jagged edges. Additionally, no specification sheet was available for the tile at the store, sent home with the tile sample prior to purchase, or provided with purchase. I found out after purchasing that this specific tile requires regular sealing and is prone to staining and retaining moisture. Due this, it is not ideal for bathroom flooring or to be used with children in the home. I would like a full or up to 80% refund of this tile, as it is required in consumer law that return policies are clearly published. I was never informed that this tile was special order/non-refundable and was told that the overage could be returned.

    Terrible **************** Experience I recently had the unfortunate experience of reaching out to Tile by Design regarding the possibility of implementing our mosaics at their store. My interaction with ********, who I assume works there, was shockingly unprofessional and disrespectful.Upon calling the showroom and expressing my interest in discussing business opportunities, I was met with an appalling response from ********. Instead of directing me to the appropriate person or even offering to take a message, she bluntly stated, "no one bye," and abruptly hung up the phone.Not only was her response dismissive and rude, but it also demonstrated a complete lack of courtesy and basic customer service skills. As someone representing the showroom, ********'s behavior reflects poorly on the entire establishment.It's deeply disappointing to encounter such unprofessionalism, especially when reaching out in a professional capacity. I expected a minimum level of courtesy and respect, which were clearly absent in this interaction.In conclusion, based on my experience with ********, I cannot recommend Tile by Designs to anyone seeking professionalism or decent customer service. It's evident that there are significant issues within the organization that need to be addressed promptly.
