Alert

Based on information in BBB files, Better Business Bureau believes this is a fraudulent online entity. From previous experience with these types of fraudulent entities, BBB also believes Royal Mini Dachshunds has no local presence in Minnesota.  Consumers may also find information about fraudulent puppy sellers at www.bbb.org/scamtracker.

BBB offers the following tips to avoid online pet selling scams:

* Beware of online or classified ads with multiple misspellings and/or grammatical errors. Many pet scams originate overseas, so scammers usually don't have a good grasp of the English language.
* Don't be fooled by a well-designed website. Scammers can easily steal images and details from postings off the websites of legitimate breeders. Always research companies at BBB.org.
* Watch out for requests to wire money. This is usually a sign you're dealing with a scammer. Never wire money to someone you haven't met in person.
*Be leery of classified ads that promise cheap or free pets for adoption. These offers sound good, until the scammers tell you your pet is at the airport but you'll have to pay unexpected fees to move forward with the adoption process. The fees continue to mount and people eventually realize these offers were not legitimate.
* Watch out for situations where you're asked to wire funds to unknown third-parties for shipping or transportation. These are often other fraudulent entities working in tandem with the
supposed pet seller.

Alert

According to information provided by preliminary BBB investigation, 'Royal Mini Dachshunds'  is a website claiming to be a breeder and does not list a location. There is no business by that name registered with the Minnesota Secretary of State, and the website appears to have been set up in May of 2019,  through a domain privacy service. Internet search of images of "available puppies" on the site reveals these same photos appearing on other, similar puppy sites in different parts of the country, under different puppy names. If you are currently in communication with this entity about a possible purchase, BBB urges extreme caution. You may wish to visit the American Kennel Club website (www.akc.org) for breed referral services. If you have additional information to share with BBB about this entity, please submit a report at www.bbb.org/scamtracker.
