The amount of complaints I have regarding the quality of work and the craftsmanship of these homes is overwhelming, the few complaints within all the less important ones that I feel should be taken care of and are totally within reason like, water leaks, spalling concrete and exposed insulation to the exterior of the home are all ignored, or some elaborate excuse on how its supposed to be like that normal wear and tear etc. I want my money refunded for personally fixing my concrete. I want the exterior of my home to be sealed, and I want insulation covered. I have owned this home less than 2 years and are the first owners of this new build. No reason for any of this to be happening.Business response

Capstone Homes would like to apologize for the frustration the items of concern have created regarding your home.
Capstone Homes has provided the service per the warranty guidelines provided for your home. Items of concerned were addressed through the first year with the final year end visit September of 2021 when the items of concern that fell within the warranty guidelines were taken care of.
Capstone Homes has provided the documentation on exterior concrete per the warranty.
EXTERIOR CONCRETE
Exterior concrete is excluded from warranty coverage. Cracks, spalling, and heaving will occur in exterior concrete and should be expected.
A copy of the Concrete Maintenance and Care sheet was provided in the closing folder. This sheet talks about sealing the concrete and the importance of it to help preserve the concrete however it will not prevent damage, cracks, or rock pops.
The insulation that is now exposed due to settlement does not fall in the warranty provided and is a homeowner maintenance responsibility.
Capstone Homes understands the importance of warranty items and took care of the warrantable items within the one-year warranty period.

I am rejecting this response because:
The items listed were faulty to begin with. Concrete naturally should last more than 12 months. Also the items with the insulation were repaired once before, and now have become faulty again. Throwing a patch on something just to make it past the finish line of one year, and then tell us there is absolutely nothing you can do is unacceptable. Was my house built to last 12 months? Or a lifetime?
