My house built in 1941 was in bad need of an exterior update. The original red cedar siding was cracked and showing its age and many of the windows had badly rotted sills and trim. I wanted a top-quality product and install to make my house look refreshed and like new. Brett from 1st Choice Remodeling educated me on LP SmartSide Diamond Kote siding as an excellent option that would give me the top-quality look I was seeking. This product is engineered wood with a nice, textured appearance and a 30-year no-fade guarantee. I really like how LP provides matching trim that goes with the siding which gives the house a very nice, consistent, integrated look. After completing my research and getting several other bids, I signed a contract with Brett and 1st Choice Remodeling. Unfortunately, my siding project could not be completed before winter which Brett thought might be possible, but I was the first project of the spring with the siding crew showing up in late March. I cannot say enough good things about Ben the siding installer and his partner. Ben emphasizes quality over speed and this is exactly the type of installer I wanted for my job. He will do things the right way even if it takes more time and will not cut corners in any way. He is a true craftsman with attention to detail and came up with excellent solutions to the numerous issues my house presented. I also like how Ben was willing to discuss with me on a daily basis how the job was progressing and effectively responded to any questions or concerns that I had. We had our roof replaced due to hail damage by 1st Choice Remodeling, LLC. We worked directly with Brett who was outstanding every step of the way! In the Spring of 2021 we decided to move forward on an exterior remodel of our home consisting of garage doors, service doors, front door, several windows, stone, siding and all that goes with it. We had several contractor bids and signed with Brett at 1st Choice Remodeling. Brett was very personable, very knowledgeable about the products that would work best for our wants and was able to recommend houses for us to drive by to get better understanding of siding/stone colors. It is hard to picture these materials and colors on the house from a tiny swatch. Even with the supply chain delays Brett was in communication with us through the summer, he obtained the needed permits from our city, he advised us of product arrival ETA’s, dumpster arrivals, and stopped by now and again to check up on the progress of the job. The stone installer Mike was talkative and friendly. He took the time to find the right stone placement since they all came loose, not on a board, the end results looks wonderful! Matt the window/door installer was very dedicated to his work and we are very happy final product. Twin City Garage Doors installed our garage doors at a precise and lightening speed. Ben and his crew worked meticulously and diligently and through all types of fall/winter weather to ensure we would be satisfied in the final work of the siding, facia, and soffit install. We are very satisfied with the final look of the completed remodel. If you are looking for a company with eye for excellent craftsmanship and great communication then you will appreciate Brett and his team at 1st Choice Remodeling.

1st choice is our 1st choice! They were honest, professional, easy to work with and most of all reasonable. We talked to many different contractors/companies. Brett was the only one I didn’t feel pressured with or that I was being sold anything I didn’t need. He was very through, and explained the processes and what to expect Up front. His crew did great work in a reasonable amount of time. I did not feel that they rushed though the job, to just be done. They took their time to make sure it was done right the first time! We are very happy with our new windows and if we need anything in the future, Brett will be my 1st call!!
