On August 2, 2023, David installed a bi-fold closet door for me. I paid him cash per his request. The next day, Aug 3, I called him and told him the door needed to be adjusted. It is not level at the top or bottom and it's not square in the opening. He stated that it's probably a minor adjustment that he will take care of.I texted him on Aug 6, 2023 asking when he can come over to fix his work. He stated he was busy and would let me know when he can stop by. He admitted that he didn't check his work closely enough and repeated that it should be a minor adjustment. On August 17, I texted him again. I reminded him it had been 2 weeks since I asked him to take care of this. Again he was too busy. He was also thinking that it would be more efficient for him to finish the closet door when I had some other woodwork installed. I pointed out that the work he referred to would not be until ****. He acknowledged that with an "ok".On August 21, I texted him again, explaining that whatever his "ok" meant that it's not ok to wait until next year to finish a job I already paid for. I did not receive a reply. On Aug 27, I texted again asking for him to arrange a time to fix the doors he installed. He was again too busy to deal with this and stated he would get to it eventually. I asked him to try to work this into his schedule and that I would continue to contact him. He was ok with that.I let some time go by. On Oct 9, I contacted him, stated that it's been over a month since he was asked to adjust the doors. On Thursday, Oct 12, he responded that he was swamped. I responded that I needed him to make a plan to fix the quality of his work. I also stated that I did not want to have to hire someone else to fix his mistakes and that I have been beyond patient. I did not receive a response. One Oct 16, I texted again stating that 2 1/2 months have passed since he was paid for a job that has not been completed to my satisfaction. I have not received a reply
