On Monday, May 16 at 8:50 PM, I came into Patrick's Bakery & Cafe for pastries. I ordered one (1) creme brulee, one (1) chocolate chip cookie, and one (1) almond chocolate ganache. The employee assisting me charged me instead for my order, plus one additional chocolate chip cookie that I did not order; I was charged a total of $17.20. Even though I unknowingly paid for this cookie, it was not included in my order, and so I also did not receive it. Since the business was closing for the day, I took the pastries home and realized the mistake later that night after looking at my receipt (photo attached).The next morning, on Tuesday, May 17, I called ********* and informed them of the mistake, politely asking what next steps I could take to have the issue resolved. The employee with whom I spoke told me that I did not need to return to the bakery and that ********* could issue a refund of $3.00 + tax to my card (my method of payment); however, I was told that the manager with the authority to issue my refund would not be working until later on Tuesday, and so the employee with whom I spoke said that they would leave a note for the manager.It has now been 10 days since I called ********* to inform them of the mistake, and 11 days since the original issue occurred in which I was overcharged. Although I have called ********* since then, I have not able to get another person on the line. I am rather tired of trying to reclaim my $3.00, and feel that the business ought to refund me for what I did not order and did not receive.
