  We hired Oakman Constructions following a recommendation of neighbors in July 2022. We signed and paid 100% upfront (220k) and it was communicated that the work on the siding, windows and deck will start in October 2022. The work started in March 2023, and they worked for 2 months on siding and windows. In April 2023 the work stopped and since then (now its July 2023) the siding, the deck, and the windows trim remain incomplete. The company has left construction materials on the lawn and in the driveway. It looks like a mess, inside and outside without any progress of work since 3 months.Our attempts to contact the company resulted in excuses (the phone broke, the wife had a baby, the material initially ordered went out of stock, etc). When talking again to the neighbors they confirmed our issues and it remains elusive why they recommended this company to us.Sporadically, when we receive Email responses, they mention that they will need to order new materials and that the trim needs to be redone due to incompatibility with the windows initially ordered. Our deck materials had to be reordered as well because they mentioned that the material initially selected went out of production. For the new order, a new estimate was sent to us for over 3k USD. Now we are left with unfinished work on the outside and inside of our house without any communication when the work will be finished. We do not want to damage other businesses, but we hope that with this filing here, we can get the project completed.

  Hello, oakman construction was hired on to remodel our home after water damages. They stated it was a project that would take four weeks. They started the last week of November and still have not finished. Communication is nonexistent from them. We've repeated messaged with no response. Project is half done and when we ask for dates on when project will be complete we get no answer.

  The project is currently being worked on and most correspondence regarding it has been going through ******'s boyfriend, ******. Communication has been consistent and we are in the final stages of the project. The unexpected delays were the cause of waiting for insurance approval for several items.

   I am rejecting this response because:
  
  We spoke with insurance and they stated they did not hear from the contractor when we were told we were waiting for approval. Also flooring was placed on top of some charger cord. Communication has gotten slightly a bit better since I first submitted the request but my husband ****** was also very unhappy with the lack of communication from the contractor. Workers who have been out here have been great and easy to work with. We've have all the communication text messages where we are told they will come out one day and either done show up or are hours late. We just want the project done with so we can have our home back. We did not expect to have this take 4 months and counting which has been unacceptable for my husband and I.
