DeWitz Home Builders has been to this home on numerous occasions.  We (and I) have never disregarded the complaints/concerns.  The patio door had a bit of snow come in the corner during the first snowstorm of the season with 50+mph winds.  The homeowner expected me to send someone out immediately during this blizzard event.  I was not going to risk anyone driving in these conditions. This was on a Friday evening and we had already had scheduled visit for Monday morning.  I explained to the homeowner that this would need to wait until the ********* came on Monday morning. Upon meeting Monday morning it was determined that the ******** patio door was warped.  We immediately ordered and replaced the door covered under ******** warranty.  At this meeting we also generously repaired bifold door tracks that were damaged from misuse.  

The homeowner also called on a floor squeak.  We addressed this squeak on two different occasions.  We were able to quiet the squeak quite a bit but not 100%.  I explained to both the husband and wife that I can not guarantee a 100% squeak proof floor and I have done what I can to quite it down.  This response was not what they wanted to hear.  They think that the wood subfloor should make NO noise what so ever.  This is just not the case in building on a wood joist.  I explained that we glue and s**** the subfloor to the joists. It is impossible to guarantee a squeak proof wood floor. 

I personally have been helping buyers build their homes for over 35 years, my family has been in business for over 65 years.  Of the thousands of homes we have built, this is the first BBB negative review.  I am proud of our company and take great pride in helping our customers understand the dynamic of owning a new construction home.
