I reserved a room at the Kahler Grand Hotel for the night of September 11, 2022. It was because I was to have surgery at Mayo on September 12th at 8am. I became ill a few days before and was advised that **** couldn't perform my surgery while I was sick. I called the Kahler to cancel the reservation 2 days in advance and was told the reservation couldn't be cancelled or refunded. The Kahler doesn't make their own reservations. They do them through an outside 3rd party and they don't tell you that when you are making the reservation. The outside 3rd party says reservations aren't cancellable, but they don't tell you that when you are making the reservation. I can't understand how a hotel that's basically there to serve the *********** can treat its customers so poorly. My reservation was for $400+. Discover wouldn't refund my money and I was never able to get ahold of anyone at Priceline (the 3rd party vendor) to cancel the reservation. No one answered the phone, ever.
