      We had a reservation for two nights at this place we checked out early!!!!!! Not only is the place a mess - broken Tv - Dirty bedding with signs of bed bugs on one bed. Mold on shower walls. All ice machines broken broken lamps and light fixtures etc. etc. etc. rude staff specially heavy woman at the desk who told me too bad if I did not like it there. But the worst part is that its so unsafe the door in the back that is supposed to be locked at all times does not work so people can come in out as they please. And since the doors to the door - like ours 125 - does not work unless you force it to lock this is inviting a robbery or worse. This place is a terrible reflection of not only la quintas inns all over the country, but an awful reflection of Rochester and the BBB for promoting this business. ***************** - ******, **

      For $118.00 per night, this hotel has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. When you call the direct number, the staff either do not answer, ever, or if they do, they say nothing, and just hang up on you. Then when you ask for the manager, they tell you there is no management on the weekends......I have worked at hotels before and there is always a "go to" person staffed to help take care of issues. Then, they offer you an email address to send complaints to, which is not even a real email address, it comes back as undeliverable mail. What a joke. Extremely unsatisfied. Would never recommend this hotel.

      My husband and I arrived on June 23rd 2023 and the reason for our stay was our one year wedding anniversary celebration. The lady ran my credit card and then proceeded to tell me that the pool was closed because the lack of chlorine and they didn't know when it would be fixed. I told them I wanted a refund so I would be able to go to a different hotel that had a pool since that's one thing that we were looking forward to. Otherwise we would have stayed in a bed and breakfast but we chose the La Quinta because we've been there in the past in Bloomington and it was a really good hotel. This time however no pool to use water and pressure sucked so we couldn't take showers and we got up to the room and the toilet wouldn't flush either. Never been at a hotel where the toilet won't flush for one and the other complaints and them claiming that they have great amenities they have great reviews. It was very disappointing the second time around at the Rochester La Quinta we will not be back at any La Quinta anymore unless this is rectified with a discount on our room cuz $300 for two nights is way too much money to have such a crappy situation when what they what they promised and what actually we received this weekend did not happen.

      We had a really terrible experience at this property. As we were walking into the hotel, the first thing we were hit with was the overpowering smell of marijuana. It was so strong that it made my eyes burn. The check in was simple as the front desk employee simply asked for my last name, found my registration and then tossed the key cards on the counter saying, "You're all set." We went out grabbed our bags and proceeded inside again and were met with someone smoking a joint walking from inside the "no smoking" property. Up to the room we go, again, the pungent odor of marijuana permeated the hallways. We entered our room and the first thing we smell is a new wood scent and we hopeful that it would equate to clean. We were wrong. There was a blood spot on a pillow case, ***** matter on the drapes and blood stains on the valance. We debated on whether to tough it out and it was just too gross. The bathroom towels appeared used. We packed up, went back down to the desk and asked for a refund for what was going to be a two night stay. The front desk attendant that originally helped had his feet up on the desk and had to defer to another male behind the front desk that I assumed worked there, but did not have hotel affiliated attire. I am waiting for my credits to appear on my account. While dealing with the front desk worker, he had clearly been drinking as evident by the odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from his person and bloodshot watery eyes. After working through this, he hops in the driver's seat of a vehicle out front that had a passenger in it and they drive away. After a two hour ordeal, we checked into the Staybridge Suites and it only cost us $150 more to enjoy a clean, safe stay (sarcasm intended). Something is transpiring at that La Quinta and it's not good.
