I'm here at the Mega Laundry Mat in *********. I came here because I was in the neighborhood and have been here before but I came with change in hand. However this time I came with a twenty dollar bill so I could wash my son's and myself clothes. There are three machines and I do know how to read however one machine says change only and the other two has tokens. I need every dime so I put MY money in the change only. The machine gave 15 dollars of tokens instead.. I don't wash here like that and after speaking with management I'll never come back.. I just want the remaining of my money, they can keep these tokens. There's NO sign stating the machine is change to token that should be advertised so that grown people like myself can choose rather than be token for granted.Business response

Our change machines have dispensed a mixture of tokens and quarters for many years. This is nothing new. We decided to go to tokens because people were coming in to our business and using us as a bank, just to use our changers for quarters. They'd exchange quarters and take them out of the building without doing laundry.
When She called, I asked her if she was doing laundry at the laundromat. She said "yes", I said, "well then, use the tokens first, and then call me back when you are done and let me know how many tokens you have left"
At that point she immediately hung up on me.
I called her back, asked her if she hung up on me and she said yes.
Then she hung up on me again. We commonly buy back unused tokens from customers. In this case, I doubt she was a customer and the way she treated me gives me NO motivation to go out of my way to help her.
We have a policy in our business of NOT rewarding BAD PERSONAL behavior. We believe that if businesses across the country would stop coddling and rewarding terrible human behavior, it would help in the goal of people treating each other better. I'm very glad she wrote this complaint and I hope she sees this response. She owes me an apology for hanging up on me twice. If she wants to do that, then I will consider exchanging the tokens, it's that simple.
But you can bet, she won't take any personal accountability for her actions. It's very rare.
