On April 7th, 2022 I went in for an Invisalign consult, which over the phone I was told was free. No fees were given to me ahead of time neither by email or verbally. *********************** brought me back and had someone scan my teeth. Then the actual orthodontist came in and said in order to be considered for Invisalign I had to have my permanent retainers removed and they could do it right now. Still at this point I was NOT told that this visit would cost me any money or that having my retainers removed would cost me money. **** didnt mention this nor did the orthodontist, they just pushed me to do it. Finally when I came back from having my retainers removed a few minutes later, **** THEN decided to bring up what the cost of Invisalign was and the payment plan. I told her this was just a consult and Id have to get back to her as I had another consult with a different ortho office to compare prices and payment plans, as most people do At this point is when **** decided to tell me that if I didnt choose their office for Invisalign and put down a $500 downpayment I owed them $174 for a new patient visit ( I was never made aware of this beforehand) and that Id have to pay or having my retainers removed, which totaled $519!! When I was told this consult would be free and no one told me ANY pricing until everything was done. I believed *********************** who is the manager there apparently and who I worked with that day, tried to take advantage of me and scam me and bully me out of lonely by so the holding information about costs until AFTER the consult was finished. I do not believe I should have to pay for these services as they were out of left field and I wasnt warned ahead of time or that there would be additional costs for having retainers removed. She even said, I shouldve told you before we had them take out the retainers and I wish you wouldve told me you had another consult. No, she used this to scam me and try to take hundreds of dollars from me unknowingly.
