In 2019 we hired Fireside to install our fireplace. The process was very painful that included missed deadlines and poor craftmanship which lead to a much longer process than was originally communicated by Fireside. In Jan/Feb of 2022 our fireplace stopped working and a safety trigger was signaling an auto shut off which was not allowing the fireplace to turn on. I called Fireside to book a service appointment, which was scheduled for March 21st, 2022. Upon the techs arrival and examination of the fireplace, he noted that the safety shutoff was triggered due to the glass not being installed properly on the fireplace and it wasn't "clipped in". This was an installation error by Fireside and thus caused the auto shut off.I called later in the week to dispute the service charge as Firesides error caused the shutoff to occur and we should have to pay from an installation error on their behalf. I have called Fireside twice in the past 10 days and talked to a person in their service department twice. Both times they said they would have a supervisor call me back and each time they have failed to do so.Fireside should waive the service charge from the 3/21 visit due to an installation error which caused the fireplace to malfunction.Business response
