              I enrolled my child at Sylvan to get her help with math. I was told that they had a guarantee that her grades would improve or I would be refunded the total amount paid and yet to be paid. My daughter's grades did not improve. I reached out to the Maple Grove Center Director and she (****) agreed that Sylvan had not been successful in helping improve my daughter's grades. I followed up with **** several times regarding the refund process. She told me that she was waiting to hear back from the owner. She provided the owner's email and I have emailed him directly at least 5 times. There has been no reply.

              We tested our daughter looking to enroll her in Sylvan. A charity organization would contribute to this tutoring. After the assessor told us this charity contribution would be minimal (He was telling us wrong information) and that we'd have to pay a large part of this. He brushed over the assessment and moved right away into the Packages that would be paid up front. He pushed the 100 hour packages (very expensive) and encouraged a quick decision. We thought the tutoring necessary would be less Was Sylvan getting the charity contribution and charging us? (Double dipping?) This seemed like a traditional hard sell using the classic tricks. The focus was more on selling the packages than the content of education. We were promised sending us test results and never got them.
