This business owner was completing tree work in a neighbor's yard when he damaged our wooden fence in the process (took place around 4/30/21-5/1/21). Owner offered to fix this free of charge, as well as mend some other parts of fence with a cost, but no charge for labor. Owner asked for about $3200 total for supplies to fix the fence, paid for before starting the job. Owner started the job sometime in June, only pulling out broken parts of fence with some new fence put in, but mostly new sections of fence still laying around yard. Owner never worked on the fence again, making numerous excuses when asked week after week of no-shows, continuously setting dates as to when it would get done (by July 15th, then end of July, Aug 15th, etc.) without ever showing up. Finally we informed owner we were going to complete the job ourselves and offered owner to assist, but owner never showed and we completed the job ourselves by mid to end of August, paying an additional approximately $100 for supplies. Since then, we asked several times for money back for never completing the job (only up to about half of job was completed, and had to re-do some of owner's work, with likely owner over-charging for price of supplies). Several times owner scheduled times to meet without showing up. Owner eventually admitted to never completing the work and was in agreement to pay back half amount of money paid ($1600), but then stopped responding to our messages within the last few weeks (it is now mid October) when asked numerous times to pay us back or set up a payment plan. As of now, we remain in agreement to receive at least $1600 back, with resolution through the Better Business Bureau.
