My 2011 **** Explorer got damaged by hail on 5/19/22. Carstar said to bring it to them to be repaired on 6/10/22 and it should take **** days to repair. We finally got it back on 7/11/22 after much complaining. It still needed a new hood which was on order without any knowledge when they would receive it. They finally received the hood and had us bring it back to them on 9/07/22. At that time I gave them a list of seven items that needed to be fixed besides the hood. These were items that were damaged when they were repairing the hail damage. They agreed to take care of my list. They did not take care of three of the items. The rear hatch door is still out of alignment. I bought the car new and was never in an accident. They claim it must have come from the factory that way. That is not true. They made my key fobs unusable when they gave me my vehicle back. I had five key fobs for the car. They programmed one new **** key fob and one of my clones. They told me they would reprogram the other three when I dropped it off and when I picked it up they refused to reprogram them. I would need to pay somewhere over $100 each to get more. When driving the vehicle there is something whipping or rolling around in the ceiling. They said they found a bolt moving around up there. After driving the vehicle the noise is still there. I have gone to this family owned business for 50 years and recommended it to many others. Since becoming Carstar they have become very dishonest. They need to realign my rear hatch door, reprogram my other key fobs, and fix the noise in the ceiling. I asked them to not charge me my $500 insurance deductible so I could take it elsewhere to have it fixed properly but they refused my offer. Between the insurance and my $500 they received $8,128.52 for a poor job. I have another vehicle that I was originally going to have them repair that was parked next to the explorer in the hail storm. I took it elsewhere and it was done in less than two days.
