On 9/13/21 we met with ***************** of Custom One Landscaping and agreed to pay $550 for a landscaping design for our lot. *** indicated that If we agreed to Custom One doing the landscaping the $550 would be allowed as a reduction to the contract price. Custom One cashed our check for the $550 on 9/16/21. Shortly after that we met with *** and he presented the printed landscaping design containing the following errors plus other issues I do not have the room to list here: The west retaining wall is 35 feet long. The drawing shows it as 24 feet long. The east retaining wall is over 60 feet long. The drawing shows it as 32 feet long.The drawings totally take out our overflow parking area of 17 feet by 22 feet. The idea was to take out just the retaining wall and slope the soil at about a 9 % grade down to the asphalt edge, right up to where the exposed edge of the old blocks were. We did not get elevation pictures of the east or west wall as supplied for the garage wall. I would think those areas that were being re-rocked would be colored in so we know everything that is being done. The estimate does not indicate if it include reseeding or grading.His response was to agree to send a corrected design plan but also included in his email "We regretfully decline to rebid this project" in response to my question regarding reseeding. I am not sure now how I get credit for our $550, not that I would trust them to do this job correctly anymore. I had also left a call for the President of the landscaping companies owner, Custom One Homes, and was assured he would directly contact me regarding the problem(s). I never heard from him despite his staff assuring me he would contact me. However *** did indicate in an email about the errors "Please see remarks below I did hear you called into the office as well. I will mail the plans out tomorrow as well." The plans he mentions are the corrected plans. This mess caused us to miss a Fall window for the landscaping.
