Elander Mechanical is not a reliable or responsible company. We are renting a home that has their HVAC installation. We have been unable to live in our unit because there is no A/C. The unit is from Elander and this is from their emergency maintenance phone line, "no A/C is not considered an emergency". Please tell me how no A/C in over 100 degree Fahrenheit climate is not an emergency for a family trying to live? My dogs were panting laying on their sides in the unit and we had to vacate for everyone's safety. Of which we had to impose on friends we luckily have in order to be somewhere livable. Again I ask how is not having A/C in this climate not considered an emergency for a family and it's safety. I do not believe this business is responsible or reliable contrary to the information provided on their website or services.

Elander Mechanical Inc. has not been a reliable and honest HVAC installer. We had a home built by Pulte in Plymouth where Elander installed the HVAC system. We paid Pulte an extra $6,000 to get a better system installed. What we got was an inadequate air conditioning system where we this summer found out the compressor keeps running constantly if the outside temperature is above 90 degrees. Our home is identical to at least 3 others in the area, and all those homes have a 3 ton compressor. We got a 2.5 ton unit for a 3 story home with the main level at 2,100 sq ft. Two HVAC contractors have been here giving us comments on the installed system. One of them we paid to receive what is called a Manual J Form (some 30 pages) which is a calculation of what size A/C system is needed. The result we saw was the need for a 3.5 ton system. When asking Elander for their calculations they provided a front page (with multiple errors) justifying their 2.5 ton system. They now refuse to send us the entire report and to do any correction to their mistakes. Yes the installation wiring was incorrect and the system leaked at several places.Be cautious if you have to do with Elander Mechanical. They are absolutely not trustworthy or professional.
