Invoice ****** & ****** We were billed last year & this year $5901.61 for a claim that should be paid by ***************. When I spoke to AM Fam ** they claimed they would pay but never received an invoice.Servicemaster at that time stated they thought maybe Am Fam paid us direct**. They have not. I feel this is between Servicemaster and Am ******** are being harassed in hopes we would just pay it.Initial Complaint

We had a basement fire and our house was filled with smoke on February 19th, 2023. Our insurance company was using service master for the repairs and replacing of our house and belongings. We met with the person who was in charge of our house and he reassured us that we would be able to move back into the home before the first of august. Well here we are almost the first of September and we are not able to move back yet. We have asked over and over for service master to do the job. They got paint on our refrigerator and our wood floor. They put sealant on without taking off tape and decals and did a very poor job of covering the walls. They are supposed to finish the job, but they will not respond to any of the emails or texts from us. Then we found out that the 1st contractor had quit and we had a new contractor. All we know is his name is *****. We met with him in the end of June and he seemed pretty good. He said he would get it done by the 1st of August. We told him that we sent our son to our daughters home in s. ******** because we are in a one bedroom apartment. The next time we met with him, he said he was going to tear down 5 outside walls and we told him no because they were nowhere near the smoke damage. Still the next time he was there he had already pulled out the inside walls, this was after they sealed it. One of the walls was not even close to the fire damage. After we said no to tearing down more walls and the whole kitchen, we never heard from him again. We were calling, the insurance adjuster was calling and he just wouldnt respond to us. We had to hire an outside contractor. We also have no idea where our belongings are. And the list of items that they deemed unusable is missing stuff on it. So we have asked for an inventory list of what we have left, and we have received nothing. We think they should pay for the extra month of rent and not charge anything for the time they have had our items. BAD SERVICE!Initial Complaint

My water heater gave out flooding my basement on 1/23/22. Due to having a 3 week old newborn and recovering from delivery and being 1 week post surgery, I called service master to clean up the water. The night of the 23rd, a guy came and started 4 or 5 dehumidifiers and left. A few days later, people came and took the stored items out; however they put a heavy corner shower into the shower that was being used. Due to my medical conditions, I could not move it to shower. Again, service master left leaving the dehumidifiers running. Due to Service Master never using a shopvac, ice formed at the landing for the basement-this was a HUGE safety hazzard. They say they never used the shopvac due to the amount of itdms in the basement-everything was up on pallets. After leaving the dehumidifiers running, 2 girls came back to do wall demos as it was a finished basement. They left wood splints all over the floor and up the stairs. Supposedly, they cleaned although it did not smell like cleaner and cobwebs were still in the framework. A couple days later, my items were returned and although the boxes were labeled, they were not put where it was labeled to go. They also broke a 60 gallon fish tank that **** (supervisor) said theyd replace-this has not happened. I asked for them to clean up the ice melt from the stairs and wood splints. They swept the slush into a pile at the bottom of the stairs and left it there. They also left a thick layer of mud in the shower and put items against my car making it impossible to run to the ** when I dicovered a blood clot in my arm. I have been in contact, but **** was extremely rude sticking by what the company had done. At an additional cost, I was told they could redo the cleaning/boxes- since it was not done the 1st time I feel this should not cost extra. I have talked to an attorney who advised me to aske for the cost of sending a crew out to redo it off my bill.
