Additional business information
On August 18, 2021, the business entered into an Assurance of Discontinuance with the Minnesota Attorney General. The Assurance settles allegations that the business violated Minnesota Consumer Fraud Act, Minn. Stat. 325F.69 and the Minnesota Deceptive Trade Practices Act, Minn. Stat. 325D.44, related to its representations and conduct with consumers to whom it sold bridal gowns, for example selling custom gowns that were not supplied to consumers in a timely fashion, despite verbal and/or written assurances, claiming others were responsible for the delays that were really the result of the business's conduct, and in some cases, deceptively supplying gowns to consumers that were different from the gowns the consumers had actually purchased. Under terms of the Assurance, the business agreed to the following terms: when a consumer places an order for a custom-order wedding gown, veil or any other product requiring an order with a designer or manufacturer, the business shall place the order within five business days and send full payment for the order to the designer or manufacturer within 72 hours of placing the order. The business also agreed when they receive tracking information from the designer or manufacturer, they will provide that tracking information to consumers about their order. The business also agreed to clearly and conspicuously communicate orally and in writing any delays associated with consumer's orders within 48 hours of learning about the delays and shall not misrepresent the cause or source of the delay and clearly and conspicuously disclose orally and in writing to consumers information about any sales, discounts or price concessions it offers, including not mispresenting the nature or terms and conditions of any sales, or discounts. The business also agreed, for fifteen months after the Assurance is signed, on request of the Attorney General, to supply any purchase order, contract, transaction requested to ensure compliance with the Assurance. The business also agreed to a settlement of $50,000.00 to be paid to the Attorney General, whose office may distribute portions of the settlement to consumers. The Assurance was for settlement purposes only and should not be considered as an admission of guilt or finding of violation of the law. For more details go to the below link
