You know I contacted Thomas ***** and I've been with them for quite a few years and I've been having problems with getting a lift chair and I was talking to somebody today and she hung up on me I had given her my last name spelled it for for two times then she had the nerve to ask me for a third time and I said how do you spell ***** how do you spell house and I want some action because I need helpBusiness response

On November 28, 2022, ********'s waiver case manager contacted Handi Medical Supply to order ******** a lift chair. During that phone call, the case manager discovered (per Handi Medical Supply), that they provided ******** with a lift chair in December of 2019. *****'s staff suggested a repair technician take a look at ********'s chair to try to repair it prior to replacing. Per CMS waiver guidelines a repair needs to be explored prior to replacement of durable medical equipment paid by the waiver. If the chair is determined to be non-repairable, then ********'s Medical Assistance ********* would need to deny payment for the chair prior to the waiver paying. The case manager requested that a repair technician reach out to ******** to schedule a time to take a look at the chair.
On 12/19/22, the case manager spoke with Handi Medical Supply who confirmed that ********'s chair cannot be repaired. A new one needs to be ordered. Handi Medical will need to get Medical Assistance approval or denial to cover the lift mechanism inside the chair, and the waiver will cover the remainder. If Medical Assistance denies the lift mechanism, the waiver will pay for the entire chair. The case manager confirmed this with Handi Medical, and they are processing the order.
********'s should hear from Handi Medical to schedule delivery of her chair when it arrives.
