I put my gym membership on hold with Fitness Evolution as a result of not using their services due to COVID and an automobile accident. After putting my membership on hold, it was unfrozen with no notification or invoices. I have been charged $34 per month since February 2021. The charges to my card came up as membership and I assumed they were for one of my other bills until April where I was charged $75. After calling my bank we determined it was likely a gym membership charge.After reaching out to the gym owner this is the response I received. Me to FE: I have been getting charged since Feb of 2021 for a gym membership I have not been using. I would like to get my money back and be removed from your system.I was told that my account would not be unfrozen until after COVID.FE to me: I have your membership cancelled. You emailed me back on 7-31-2020 to freeze your account. We froze that account for 6 months from 8-14-2020 to 2-14-2021. Covid shut down was when we were closed and nobody got charged for that. On 2-14-21 when you unfroze we were not made aware by you that you still wanted it frozen or cancelled. I will not refund any past dues. This is no different then a Cable or phone ****, we need to to be told you no longer want the membership which is the same with your phone if you're using it or not. You will not be billed any longer because you have supplied us now with a 30 day written notification which was/is our policy when you signed up. You have access until 6-14-22.Me to FE: Can you please send me your managers contact information. Your records should indicate that I have not received any services. Nor did your entity inform me of the account being reinstated.PE to me:I am the manager/ owner. We do not notify members when they unfreeze, that is up to the member to remember. We do not **** our members. All members are charged every month until they give a 30 day written
