    I hired Ram Jack to install an outdoor French Drain with a sump pump and battery back-up. The contract stated the sump pump would be a ******** They installed a *** **** which, according to *** ****, is made for basement use. They neglected to add the battery back-up in the 5/23/23 work order/contract, although I thought it was just part of the sump pump section; the ****ral Information section states battery back-ups are available on all their sump pumps, and the salesman admitted he forgot to include it in the work order. The *** **** battery back-up has only a 3-foot extension, not long enough to place inside which is required as it's not weatherproof. They installed 4" piping along my patio to the sump pump, two 1.5" pipes from the sump pump to the end of my house, then again 4" piping out under the fence to the drainage basin. 2 workers said they shouldn't be using 1.5" pipes. I called the salesman and he said according to their civil engineer 1.5" pipes are less likely to freeze. Doesn't make sense since 4" pipes are used everywhere else. However, the *** **** sump pump requires 1.5" piping. They also were required to place the discharge basin past the front of my house and my neighbor's house; this is clear in the work order. They did not do this. They removed a section of my fence to bring in an excavator which they never used, but instead of removing the screws at the top of the fence post, they used a power tool and sawed the fence post at the bottom to remove it. Now I have to replace the fence post because the fence is not secured; the fencing I have (beige) has since been discontinued and Ram Jack has agreed only to deduct $450 from my invoice for installation of a black fence post, which may impact potential buyers when I retire and sell my home in 5 years. They also parked their trailer and excavator in my driveway all weekend, despite my clear directions that they could leave their equipment only if it was parked on the street curb.

    On behalf of my mother, I left a negative review on ****** with the hopes of getting the company to act. To summarize, they formally quoted a service to correct a sinking structural support. When the day came to execute the work, the workers on site said it would cost double and left. They never provided a revised quote to fix. They charged my mother $1200 for showing up and did not use any of their heavy equipment. The used a hand shovel to dig around the support which should have been done during the quoting process. After the review, they responded with a lot of words and little action. The rep called my mother and said he could not believe they charged $1200 and would follow-up with the team for a refund. Again, it has been two more weeks and no further communication from them. I do have to note an additional $900 was charged to fix the front sidewalk which is fine although it was not the primary objective of soliciting their service. Third piece is they tore up the lawn in several spots driving on and off the driveway; not at the job site but halfway up the driveway. Not a major deal although it was quite obvious and they did not mention it the day of "service."
