I had foundation work done on my home. He poured concrete for my patio. Workmanship was done very poorly and I wasn&#**;t happy with the end result. I gave them $3000 to begin the work and then another $2200, I believe I have spend close to $6000 total. I received a text from the company stating they would be back in two to three weeks. However, they never show up. I tired the business number and it is no longer in service.

The job was quoted to be done a certain way, in detail, for X amount of dollars and a deposit was given once agreed upon.  Prior to job being started, homeowners son got involved and started saying things like the contract price was too much, etc.  I've been in Construction for 25 years, the price point quoted and agreed upon initially was 30% less than the going rate at the time.  The time lapse in job being completed, as you know, inflation was off the charts, rising at such an exponential rate you could hardly quote a job and stay within those parameters if you didn't get said job done within a week or two of quoting it.  Regardless, I have done a lot of work in the past for *******, and I was not worried about making money at this point due to the headache of inflation and a family member that had no business and minimal experience getting involved after the fact, making a mountain out of a mole hill.  I told them they could get other quotes from other contractors and if apples were being compared to apples, no corners being cut, and they were doing it exactly how I had the job laid out and quoted and could do it cheaper, that I'd return the deposit.  We agreed to not cut the concrete into a diagonal pattern and just do the normal amount of relief cuts to spec/code, to do a rectangle instead of a rounded off Liver shaped decorative pattern, to not leave a "void" for a fire pit in the field of the concrete, a lot of things changed to help save her money, I dropped the price and I even dropped it further by us agreeing to wait for a neighbors job to be done in conjunction with hers so costs could be saved by pouring both jobs at the same time.  So right off the bat, I'm bending and catering to make and keep the homeowner happy even though I most certainly could have stuck to my guns and went forward with the job for the price point that was initially agreed upon and the job would have looked like a patio in ******* as opposed to normal, drab, square, brush finished pad.  The price point should have been well over what she paid even for what she got.  My response has been delayed because I dont have a lick of information as to what the issue with the patio is.  Is it a beautiful, liver shaped, stamped, stained, cut every 4' on a bias with a nice fire pit set inside, no, it most certainly isnt, because thats not what she paid for.  This is all in writing, from the initial quote, to all of the changes and updates and texts amongst all of us, I keep everything on record these days because, frankly, people are getting crazier and crazier, expect something for nothing, don't understand basic economics, and if its not them, its a family member using ****** to try to tell all of us contractors what we are doing wrong, something we've devoted our entire lives to.  It's degrading, humiliating, and frankly I'm at wits end with this.  The fact these can even fall under a category as a complaint is crazy, theres zero information, and wether I respond and make her "happy" or not, it goes on my record, that nobody reads, they simply see "a complaint", the whole process of the BBB sets the contractor up for failure the moment someone complains.  I have complaints on my company that arent even MY COMPANY.  Stormers came into ******** and used my name and likeness because I was dumb enough to not Trademark my business.  I have a lot of unanswered questions, emails and issues myself.  As for *******, she got what she paid for.  My office hasnt moved, my number is still the same 866-779-ROOF.  You can find it anywhere you look my company up and its plastered all over my office signage thats literally 5 blocks from her front door, yet she decides to file a BBB complaint.  I gave her Referral Fees totalling over $500, plus paid for a yard sign to help her.  The job was completed 6 months ago, or longer.  Again, what is the issue?  Because the amount of money she paid didnt even cover the labor and materials, I PAID to have her job completed to keep her happy, and I'm dealing with this now.  You can't get a little sidewalk poured in front of your house for less than $5k these days, she got a whole patio poured, a LARGE one, that we had to wheel the concrete bucket by bucket around to the back of the house.  Again, I have zero information to go off of as to what the issues are.

Everything else with the job, from the dirt work prep, re-bar tied into the house, footing piers, extra limestone rock, dirt work, additive, fiber,

In response, I do not agree with everything **** says.        My son did not get involved in this. He only asked how much my patio was. When I told him,  he said that was too much. My son has worked in construction for 26 years. He lives out of state so I couldn't have him do it. He supervises all the concrete jobs that they have. **** is making more out of that than it is.                          I gave a deposit in February of 2023. Starting in June of 2023 they kept telling me that they were going to start on my patio. Then I wouldn't hear from them for 2 months. They kept putting me off until January of 2024. That was when they had to get it done. I decided not to do the "extras". It just wasn't necessary. The neighbors job was done about a week before mine, so they weren't done at the same time.                                               Stormers  are not even a part of my patio. I'm not sure why he is even talking about that.    The phone number that he gave is not even on his building. I've never seen or used that number when contacting him.                            As for my patio, there was dirt work to finish, level out my yard, and fill the tracks left in my yard. They said that work would be done 3 to 6 weeks after the patio was poured to give the ground time to settle. I sent text messages after that asking when it would be finished. They never replied at all.                                                  I finally called a contractor  and asked him to look at it. When he came and saw it, he said he wouldn't touch it. He said it would have to be taken out and have a new patio poured. He also suggested that I call some Concrete  Contractors. I had 2 different companies come look at it. They were in agreement that I needed a new patio.                    Cameo poured the concrete up under my siding and I was told that it would damage my siding this winter when the ground freezes and swells. It has already messed up my patio door.                                    I agreed to have the concrete poured up to my house, but not under the siding. The rear was not to be tied to my house. That would also cause problems.                                      The three contractors all agree that it is a poor job.                      Also the concrete does not slope at the house for runoff from rain. That could cause water to get into my house and do more damage.                 I do have all the text messages from both **** and his wife.

I had ordered a roof to be installed by the business, I paid $10,000.00 down. he will not answer any of my calls, emails, text message. I am simply asking when will the job be done?, and he will respond with he will call next Thursday, and he never calls. I have stopped by his business and he is never there. He is working out of his home. He has had 8 months to install the roof and nothing has been done. I recommend no one do business with him. Once he has the check he will not communicate with you. I would like my money back of $10,000.00.

We gave Cameo Construction a check for $5000 for a deposit on a new roof and have not seen him since. That was on July 15,2021. He did text us February 18 2022 saying he would return our money but we have not seen it yet. We sent him a certified letter asking for our money on March 9,2022 but have had no response. The person we are dealing with is ***********************, owner of the business.

This is in response to the email we received from the BBB on 6/3/2022 for complaint number 16985807.  We wanted to send more information.  Attached please find:

      1.  Copy of check

      2.  Copy of agreement

      3.  Copy of certified letter

      4.  Copy of certified letter receipt

In answer to your questions, no the issue has not been resolved.  We did receive a very angry text message from ****************** on 4/28/22 at 10:13 p.m., we assumed after he heard from the BBB.

****************** has not been to our house since we gave him the five thousand dollar deposit on 7/15/2021 but we have received several texts from him.

On 7/23/21, we received a text that his supply company had all our material in stock except the ridge cap which is expected next week.  He is busy next week so we will get our roof the week after, that did not happen.

Once when we asked for an update it happened to be raining.  He texted us back that he would ask God to make it stop.

The next time we heard from him was 9/18/2021.  He said they are working on a handful of jobs that had been delivered and our supplies are on the next list of deliveries.

On 9/22/2021, we received a text from him asking if we would switch to ***** Corning shingles because IKO discontinued the color ****** that we had picked out.  We said okay.

After that we never heard from him.

On 1/28/2022, we texted him that his services were no longer needed.

On 2/18/2022, he sent us a text that said he had been stuck with our shingles sitting in his office since November and he finally sold them and would send us a check.  He did not.

3/9/2022, we sent ****************** a certified letter asking for our money.  He did not respond.

Thank you for your help in this matter.

I feel like I was taken advantage of by this company. I agreed to let them put used gutter guards on my gutters, but the guards they brought out were junky. They were all bent up and mangled. You are suppose to be able to clip them onto the gutters, but they screwed these on. There are nails sticking out the other side of the drip edge. When I spoke to the owner about my dissatisfaction, he sent me a text using profanity that I did not appreciate. I will forward pictures and other documentation soon.

He can finish putting the screws in where they go on the used gutter guards and it will look fine.  He can pay for the materials for new gutter guards and we will come out and swap them out.

I paid this company to put in used gutter guards.  They need to come and do the work they were paid for; the quality of the gutter guards is inferior.  And the job was never finished. The soffit vent caps has fallen out and I have birds nesting in my house.  It's right over my front window.
