I was having issues with my vehicle October 2023 . I took my vehicle in to be serviced at this Meineke location the first time on the 12th of that month. I was quoted prices based on all the issues they allegedly found on my vehicle. I proceeded to get the suggested work done. After the first initial visit I had to return to this location a second time to finish the work suggested for my vehicle on the 17th of October. After those 2 visits I had to return to this location on the 23rd of October due to my vehicle still not running correctly. On this visit I had to leave my vehicle at the location for 2 reasons . I had to wait for someone to look at my vehicle , then once I finally received communication (after calling them numerous of times) I had to let them fix the new alleged issues on my vehicle. These issues took longer labor wise & was more expensive than the first two initial visits. I finally paid & picked my vehicle up on November 4th. In total for all 3 visits within one month I paid this business $2,693.98. My vehicle was still having issues , but I decided to wait it out & see if I even needed to go back to them or anywhere else. On February 5th 2024 my car went up in smoke while running , I had my radiator bust & cause my car to completely break down. I had to get my vehicle tied through my insurance to Complete Auto Repair ( *************************************** Ballwin MO *****). They thoroughly checked my vehicle & found the exact same issues wrong that Meineke was supposed to have had fixed. I was told by ***** (the owner) I had broken pieces in my vehicle & the issues that were causing problems with my vehicle were not complete in full. I then had to pay Complete Auto Repair a total of $2,440.68. My car has been running perfectly since I did business with Complete Auto Repair. I would like my funds reimbursed from Meineke as well as Complete Auto Repair because Meineke broke my vehicle & did not do what they were paid to do. I have receipts for everything

************** first came into our shop on 10/12/2023 with her 2018 Buick Encore.  Her vehicle presented with several different issues.  She had a check engine light on that had been on for awhile along with several other issues.  After checking out her vehicle, she approved the repair of the thermostat housing along with a cooling system flush.  She declined to repair the mass air flow sensor and valve cover gasket at this time.  ************** returned to our shop on 10/17/2023 to have the declined items repaired.  On 10/23/2023 she returned with yet a different issue of oil leaking from the oil filter housing and the oil cooler.  These items were replaced along with a synthetic oil change and replacement of an exhaust clamp.  ************** requested we keep her vehicle at the shop for a few weeks until she had the funds to pay for the repairs.  We agreed.  Please see attached invoices.

We don't know what the other shop repaired on her vehicle.  She states that her radiator broke.  We never did anything with her radiator.  If she had any issues with any work we performed, her warranty is with us at this shop or any other Meineke location nationwide.  Please reference the attached warranty information.

A vehicle has many different components and systems that operate both independently and jointly.  Any part, component, or system can break at any given time.

I am rejecting this response because:
I had all the work complete that this company is speaking on within the same month or the next months first week. Regardless of when it was complete they were paid to do the work & my car was not fixed. I paid for the oil leak to be fixed as well. My first initial reason for showing up to this company was because I knew that there was a leak on my vehicle. It was not an oil leak it was an antifreeze leak & thats why I paid them to fix my thermostat as well as the housing . After finding out about the oil leak I scheduled that work to be complete as well. Every issues they gave me on the diagnostic papers that needed to be done I paid to get done. Everytime I picked my vehicle up from them there was still a leak , my car was still running hot . They told me they tested every possible test & it was not doing that for them. I never got told anything about any warranty , but I was always told a new price . After having all these constant complaints with no results I did not return. My vehicle radiator was not broke or damaged before they touched my car because they did not tell me. After they touched my vehicle my radiator busted , they had faulty broken pieces on my vehicle & they did not fully fix what they were paid to do. I can have the manager and owner of this other company who had to redo everything they were supposed to fix be contacted. He let me know everything in detail, he explained to me what had happened & what was thoroughly wrong . I had to pay another $3000.00 for the exact same issues & more . My car was not broke & Meineke broke my vehicle

      Sincerely,

      ***********************

I took my ** Jetta to Meineke #*** to service an oil leak March 2023.I brought my car in a 2nd time on March 18th. "replaced and fixed oil leak" is stated on receipt.I brought my car back on March 21 because my car was still leaking oil.I was given an estimate for a new oil pan to be installed.I brought my car in on March 25 for these repairs.I called Meineke from my car a few days later. My engine was smoking. The oil leaked out of my engine. I brought my car by immediately and they looked it over claiming they had addressed the issue. My car was still leaking oil after this last visit. I drove my car a few months with the leak, refilling it with oil as needed because financially I was unable to pay for another costly repair. I took my car to The ** dealership at **********************************************************, ** on July 31 to have them fix the oil leak. The work was done properly and my car is no longer leaking oil. The mechanics at ** dealership suggested I request a refund from Meineke. As stated on their invoice " found previously repaired oil pan leaking from gasket not sealing. Found fastener broken off. Drilled out and extracted fastener." It is unclear to me if Meineke replaced the oil pan with a new one as I paid for or why after claiming they had done so, my car continued to leak oil. I sent Meineke #*** a written letter on August 14 requesting a refund for unresolved repairs. I received no response. I called Meineke #*** asking if they received this letter and they said "no". They gave me an email address to send my request to: ************************** I received no response.I sent a complaint to the website (meineke.zendesk.com) on September 1,explaining the situation and that I had received no response from #*** center. On September 6, Meineke #*** left me a voicemail to call them. I tried calling and left messages. I have received no response.Refund $645.61 requested. Please see further explanation, receipts and documentation in attached pdf. file.

We have been in contact with ****************.  She was issued a refund for the labor portion of her repair with us.  ******* pan was in fact replaced.  The gasket seal failed causing the oil leak.  The warranty for the repair was with our shop.  Even though **************** took her vehicle elsewhere (thus voiding her warranty with us), we still issued a partial refund.  We apologize for the failure of the gasket seal.
